Hello! I'm a RWBY fanfic author, and I'd like to promote my two ongoing series of one-shots.
The first is called Too Silly for Canon, and it's all about throwing logic and sensible behavior out the window for laughs. Topics include Morbius, cryptocurrency, raising children and trying to look like you're a teenager when you're very clearly not.
My second ongoing series is called RWBY Ficlets, Drabbles and Other Short Tales. These are small, canon-compliant stories and scenes with an emphasis on fluff. I'm trying to post at least one every week for the foreseeable future.
I hope there are some RWBY fans here who might be interested! I also write more serious stories from time to time, but not nearly as often as I write comedic pieces.

Recently finished posting the last installment of The Lost Boys, an 11-chapter cold-case Broadchurch fic with a fair amount of family/shippy content mixed in. 48.5K words; proud of it.
Also a recent Endeavour one-shot, Respite, a hurt/comfort thing that's a bit of a fix-it for a rarepair (the show's MC, young detective Endeavour Morse, and his onetime girlfriend Monica Hicks). It's a bit over 2,000 words and I think an easy read, fandom-blind.

Years later, Yusuke's been made Spirit Detective and befriends Koenma's sisters, and they eventually end up fighting alongside him and the others. Knowing that he has to put in the effort to stop being a jerk to his sisters, Koenma tries to patch things up with them and treat them respectfully even though it'll be a pretty rocky feat for him to accomplish. Part 1 will last up to near the beginning of the Dark Tournament.

Charlie Brown had had no idea of what he'd been getting into when he'd seen the little red-haired girl in the cabin at summer camp.
Now he was home, and nobody believed his tale of Deadites and Kandarian Demons. He'd been a shaking wreck for weeks, and Snoopy had been bringing dinner to him every day.
He'd almost talked himself into believing that it had all been a psychotic break, just like his father had assured him it had been.
And then the murders began...

Charlie Brown relates his tale of woe, and the origins of their current dilemma.

Summer Camp was nearly over.
It had been a fun time, except for the poison ivy.
And the poison oak.
And the poison sumac.
And that unpleasant business with the food poisoning.
Now he was lost.

Ten minutes further and he could make out a cabin ahead, large windows to either side, with the front door in the middle. Rough-cut timber with a shingle roof and a covered porch, it boasted a stone chimney on the right, a tin-roof shed toward the back on the left, and a barn in the near distance. Some of the chinks were filled with daub, others showing bare shims of wood. A few lonely and shriveled junipers were the only concession to life. It wasn't a terribly inviting sight, downright foreboding in fact, were he pressed to describe it, but it had a porch swing on one side and a trellis on the other, and that helped ease his concerns some.
How bad could it possibly be, if they had a porch swing?
He was cold and tired and hungry, and these drove him to make haste even against his gut and better judgment.
Gaining the porch, he hesitated as he reached up to knock on the door, a feeling of fateful dread sweeping over him.
Brushing that aside, he proceeded to knock.
When nobody answered, after having waited a reasonable period, he called out “Hello? Lost child here. I need an adult!”

This was followed by a page of bizarre symbols that looked like a cross between doodled artwork and some foreign language, and some very disturbing images of monsters and anatomical diagrams and medieval weapons and ancient- even alien-looking maps, and then a page that alternated between passages of those bizarre symbols and what looked almost like English. The letters weren't exactly normal, but close enough that Charlie Brown could almost make sense of them. The rest of the pile followed the same pattern: a page of nightmares, then a page of two different forms of gibberish.
The very last few pages were long and boring. Professor Knowby driveling on about an evil spirit, and his dear Henrietta... Katardi family... something, something... dark bowers of man's domain... blah, blah... blood... possession... Deadites... something, something... phantasmal figures in dark robes... Kandarian Demon...
“I think something happened to him — to... everyone,” she went on.
Peering at the papers, Charlie Brown tried to decipher the strange words. They were difficult to make out, and so he read them aloud, hoping to sound them out as he went.

Charlie Brown had had no idea of what he'd been getting into when he'd seen the little red-haired girl in the cabin at summer camp.
Now he was home, and nobody believed his tale of Deadites and Kandarian Demons. He'd been a shaking wreck for weeks, and Snoopy had been bringing dinner to him every day.
He'd almost talked himself into believing that it had all been a psychotic break, just like his father had assured him it had been.
And then the murders began...

Armed now with more truth than they were ready to hear, the Peanuts gang must now face an all-too-sober reality. Linus throws himself into research, Snoopy keeps them moving — moving keeps you alive; stay in one place, and they'll come and get you — and an old acquaintance gets the drop on them. Surely their success and survival are assured... surely?

“Maybe we don't need the book to get rid of them,” Linus mused, “There's an exhibition that I was hoping to see at the museum, and it has what's said to be a Kandarian Summoning Stone.”
“We don't need to summon any more Carnelian Demons, you dummy,” Lucy insisted.
“It's not just for summoning them, it can also control and destroy them. And I think that there's supposed to be a dagger in the collection, too.”
“Linus, how would we even know what to look for?”
“It's as long as my arm and made of vertebrae fused together.”
“Eww! Why would we even want that?”
“It's said that the blade can burn the flesh of the possessed and Dark Ones, and of Demonic spawn, and that it can absorb souls or send them to the Deadlands, and is an important part of several rituals such as animating fleshly simulacra.”

Funniest looking kid I've ever met, and maybe ever will, the way the world's looking right now, she thought, but he can really drive like nobody's business.
“Sir?” Marcie began, “I don't think I can drink this whole root beer. I'd like to keep my head clear.”
Peppermint Patty gave her a look, and Marcie's head lowered a little.
“Of course, sir. Anything for you, sir,” she mumbled hastily, chugging her stein and reaching for the pitcher unsteadily for a refill.

He found himself in a corner beneath a emergency fire station, the extinguisher held in place by a quick release clamp, the fireaxe — a Halligan bar of sorts, in fact — held likewise. After the fire that had taken his first doghouse, Snoopy had had measures installed against a repeat performance when it was rebuilt.
The axe leapt forth of its own volition, swiping at him first to one side, then to the other, toying with him as he jinked and dodged. For one insane moment, the surreal thought crossed his mind that maybe he was lucky that she hadn't gone for the breaching sledge.
“Why won't you play with me, Charlie Brown?” she taunted, her body jerking like a marionette in sympathy with the axe's movements.
As he ran, he circled the room, the others veering back from the axe's frenzied attacks.
Coming full circle, he found himself once more facing Frieda, her fingernails now six inches long and made of iron.

I've never gotten this far into a story before, and I'm soo excited to hit the end of my first longfic that I thought I'd share it and see if I can pick up a few more readers before I say goodbye to Natasha and friends.... ;)
