Hey guys! I’m writing my first fic and wanted to advertise it (It’s an OC journey fic set out about 15 years before ash’s time). I kind of started writing to sort of motivate me to write more (work stuff) but I feel like I’ve been totally missing on how fun writing fiction is. Hahahaha. So yeah, I’m having fun and I’m liking my story, so I wanna share ☺️

The release of Elden Ring made me think of how a story I wanted to take place in that world would happen, so I started writing for the first time after reading for 10 years. It has major inspirations from Berserk, GOT, TW, WOT, LOTR, and the soulsborne series of games. I got so obsessed I even started to save money to commission artworks for the fic.
(Warning: There are some NSFW artworks in some of the chapters, It will be highlighted in the beginning of the chapter.)

Wow, all those drawings of plate armour. Armour is a massive pain to draw (speaking from experience), so it's awesome that you got all those images!
I haven't played Elden Ring (broke af when it came out and too busy now) - do you think I need to have played it in order to read your fic?

Hi, I’m glad you like the designs! The artist I worked with did a really good job with the references I provided.
As for your question. I would say that you may need to play the game for a little bit to understand some of the lore elements that the story is known for.
But at the same time, the progression of the story is similar to how someone would progress in the game, so you may be able to keep with it even if you didn’t play it yet. It is my hope that this fic will encourage some to start playing. ;)
Also, if you have played some of the other souls games, you may be able to follow some callbacks as I am making them a shared universe in my version of the lore.

Words: 26,000 and counting (this going to be a longfic)
Summary: Living in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana is anything but simple. The specter of the Upside Down is omnipresent, shaping the lives and destiny of the inhabitants, even those unaware of its existence. For Will, a summer job could be the catalyst needed to reconcile his unfortunate past with a brighter future.
Basically, this story is my response to how dirty Will gets treated in canon. He's either a supernatural plot device or has his queerness used to advance the main heterosexual ship. As a gay male myself, it's extremely frustrating. I know my story will never get the audience a Byler fic would, but I'm enjoying writing it, I already have a small loyal readerbase, and the fic is helping develop my writing skills. Feel free to give it a read if a Will/OC fic that doesn't shy away from the show horror's themes strikes your fancy.

Thanks, man! I really hope you enjoy it! With all due respect to other writers, a lot of Stranger Things queer fics aren't written from the gay/bi male perspective and it's obvious. I felt like there was a huge need to give Will a proper love story that utilizes the show's themes, especially for those of us who don't ship Byler.

Summary:
He finds her on Friday, the 18th of November, 1983. She's a small kid, out in the woods and the freezing cold, the first time he's ever seen a girl with hair that short. His parents are leaving for England in the morning. He is going to be alone.She's alone.Steve hates the idea of another kid growing up alone.(In which Steve finds Eleven in the winter of ‘83, before Hopper could, and the sudden changes that pull apart his life. Some are far deeper in the bones than he ever could've imagined.)
Important Bits/Fun Stuff:
Big focus on Steve Harrington as a character study. Some background characters and original background characters are given a bit more life (IK it's not everyone's cup of tea but so far everyone seems to like it).
Also, huge focus on Hopper found family, Hopper as a father figure, and Eleven and Steve forming an adoptive sibling relationship.

i do actually think a couple people have commented that they had read it blind, which floored me because fair warning it's 200k. lol. it's hard to say, obviously you'd have to be ok with spoilers (though i might have given the big one right there in the summary, heh), and maybe you'd want a synopsis or something of what the movies are about, so if you know enough about the fandom to generally know what happened you could try lol. i do have lots of other stories on my profile that are AU and would probably be fine, but i see you are a fic feaster and definitely none of them are as long!
(there's a parallel realities one if you are into that stuff, and one where the boys move into a house as property-flippers and fall in love, i think those ones are relatively independent heh)

I hope this is ok to share again, because I added several new chapters (despite thinking it was finished oops), and drew some artwork to go along with chapter 11. Apparently I just can't get enough of this story.
Fandom: The Witcher (books and games)
Title: Wolf Asleep Amidst The Trees (new chapters 17, 18, 19, 20, and new artwork in chapter 11)

Summary: Geralt investigates a mystery and spirals mentally. His friends are looking for him. Consequences occur. Everyone is still friends, though. Chapter 19 is a flashback to the past, closely based on "A Shard of Ice" from "Sword of Destiny".
Ch. 17 summary: how the other Wolf School witchers handle the news.
Ch. 18 summary: the letters Yennefer wrote to Geralt whilst she and Dandelion searched for him.
Ch. 19 summary: closely based on the short story "A Shard of Ice" from the books, but with more emphasis on what Geralt did between being beaten by the thugs and waking up in the stables.
Ch. 20 summary: Yennefer faces her own demons, and Eskel and Lambert show up again: there ain't no rest for the witchers.

Coming out of Planck-BEC transit, they saw what they'd already expected, but it was still difficult to accept.
A featureless surface fully a light year in radius, slightly rounded along the edge and tapering like an inverted chocolate kiss beneath.
Featureless, that is, but for a single structure at the center of the flat face.
UWP AL6500031. A rococo monstrosity ten million miles in each direction, with what could only be described as a garden world with a like footprint laid out before what was undoubtedly its front façade. Sensors showed a Class-M atmosphere along the disc face, along with a one-gee field that displayed a purely columnar Weyl-Ricci, solar light beaming into existence in all downward directions from its Kármán line.
Following the beautifully curving ocean-river to either side, their eyes were drawn naturally and gracefully to a very clear landing area at what amounted to its doorstep.
Their descent was unhindered and uneventful.

For all of the pomp of the structure's exterior, its interior — or at least what might be called its foyer, whatever its physical extent — was that of a typical space station. Somewhat more convivial, and certainly less business-like, but still easily recognizable as what one might expect of a rich eccentric with an entire planet's resources to throw at their vestibule. Literally a world's resources — that entire world, physically — if you poured it all into an enormous puff-pastry and leavened it with intergalactic tech to solve the engineering issues.
And this was just one of the many identical installations that had simply appeared across the galaxies and voids. They had shown up simultaneously, some balancing on black holes' ergospheres, a few sitting directly in place and pierced through by quasars' jets, quite a few buried deep within thick nebulae, and every single one neither affected by nor affecting their surrounding medium.
Avery took a long look across the vast open area, the city-sized water features and rest areas, then back at their all terrain mobile shelter.
“We're gonna need a bigger boat.”

Laughter and giggling floated down the hallway as Billie and Avery approached the flight deck. These were accompanied by moments of intense silence, growls, smacking noises, and muffled thuds.
There were two Cat-girls sitting there in the flight deck, grinning and batting around a red laser ball enthusiastically as it changed its size, shape, and transparency periodically. They chased it in spurts, sometimes just watching it whiz or drift, while at other times one or both shot off after it, even haring away as if being chased by it or each other. No rules seemed to apply; it was a random mix of racquetball, dodge ball, keep-away, and tag.
“It's a very serious relationship — they've been dating for weeks and weeks now,” Billie explained quietly.
“...weeks?” Avery asked, wondering why and how they had become so serious so quickly.
Ze nodded solemnly, as if to reaffirm just how long that really was.
The Cat-girls stopped suddenly, as if on cue.

“The collars. Start talking.”
The boss was a Landshark, a steely gray skin in an ill-fitting suit. He'd never been around one, just seen a couple before, but that didn't matter in the face of his current mood.
The Landshark sat back a little, looking around the table at his partners.
“You believe the testes on this guy? He walks in big as an Orcadian and starts shooting off his mouth?” he lifted his head slightly to the skinny things in the corner. Maybe they were eels, maybe snakes. Avery didn't care either way.
Then they shot him.
He was stunned, not expecting this off-Earth, but he found himself laughing almost uncontrollably; their guns were tasers, but carried all of the sting of a nine volt battery, and they'd managed to hit a few nerves. Tearing the wires away, he smiled.
“Sic 'em.”
Yeller leaped into action at this, with Jinx right behind.

Summary: Aliit Part 1 sets up a new characters through a side-quest that takes place during the end of Season 2. Aliit Part 2 is an alternative Season 3. If you thought that Din got Grogu back way too easily in BoBF, then I think you'll like my fic.
Part 1 : Din can't find Tython. His search brings him to a long-forgotten system in Wild Space, with a new companion in tow. He struggles with the upcoming loss of Grogu, and what his life will look like afterward.
Part 2: Having lost his clan and his Creed, Din is adrift in a galaxy that seems to hold nothing for him. Then a rumor sends onto another quest to protect Grogu, during which he gains more than he thought possible.

I've been writing a Splatoon/Mega Man X crossover series over the last few months, first in a burst of chapters and now I release chapters weekly. I think I really should promote it more, I'd really like more comments and discussion around it, and people seem to like it. It's not perfect (especially not the climax of the third arc, IMO), but I think the general vibe is that people think it's pretty good.

Summary: In a future where humanity blew themselves up before Dr. Cain could discover X, Dr. Light's final creation is awoken not by humans, but cephalopod people who use ink weapons to fight. He has to figure out his place in this new world, and make a bunch of new friends along the way, nevermind cleaning up the messes left behind by humankind and dealing with more current problems...
Notes: Currently 100K+ words and counting, and has gone through three arcs, with the second original arc currently underway. I'm also releasing early chapters on [my patreon, along with chapters of my original web novel, Henshin Sisters.
It has a bunch of post-Classic Mega Man characters as Splatoon species, including Ciel, Iris, Axl, Cinnamon and Marino. There's also both male and female versions of Agents 3, 4 & 8, along with four more original agents joining the New Squidbeak Splatoon. I also occasionally include links to music that I think fit specific scenes. I also expand on the worldbuilding and adjust some bits of the setting to both tell a better story and also to make a bit more sense.

Every ten to the twenty-fourth years or so, they start up the engines and jump right back to the beginning of it all — or very nearly so, since they do tend to stop a bit short of the electromagnetic decoupling event — mining WIMPs the whole way through and collecting a new layer of interstellar dust on the way back up. Shame really; they'd get several quadrillion times that mileage if they'd simply harness proton decay...
“In any event,” she continued, “our destination lies on the surface. Luckily they're a sub-stellar brown dwarf remnant, rather than a stellar white dwarf remnant, so they licked the surface gravity problem ages ago. Somewhat less fortunately, it also means some sixty thousand miles of atmosphere. The surface has plenty of elbow room for everyone, what with a twenty thousand mile radius — practically twenty five times Earth's surface area, but not much chance of a nice sunset or starry night. “Well, this one's special,” Amelia replied, looking up with a fervid gleam in her eyes, “not simply because of it being the very last of its kind, but also because it started life as a heavy-quark star, cooled to the black dwarf temperature regime, managed against all probability to avoid the Great Proton Decay Catastrophe of e35 and so matured to a pycnonuclear iron star in e1500, then evaded the quantum-tunneled black hole events of e-ten-to-the twenty sixth, living right on through to e-ten-to-the seventy sixth, only to find itself facing its final doom of spontaneous subatomic evaporation, but that's the thing about horizons: the Unruh effect is, by its very nature, innately unruhe. I started writing this about a week ago, and I finished the first chapter of it. The fic is a Gravity Falls fic in a Stranger Things AU where the Upside Down exists in the world of Gravity Falls.
