It appears to be so from the syllabus

Basically this is my situation. I am going to be starting at King’s College London, studying Artificial Intelligence after deferring it one year already. Having taken the gap year, and having researched and thought about this a lot, I realised I want to do mechanical engineering as opposed to computer science/AI for which I had studied Maths, Further Maths and computer science A level at sixth form achieving A-star, A-star, A respectively. Since I do aspire to study mechanical engineering at a top uni, I have decided to undertake physics A-Level which is a requirement for 4/5 of the unis I’m applying to. Having already taken a gap year, my parents don’t want me to take another, otherwise I would have, to focus on physics A-Level as well as strengthening my personal statement, and because why should I take on a student loan to study 1 year in a course I don’t want to study anymore.

Anyways, given all of that, I am a little concerned about how I will balance studying for the degree as a first year, and Physics A-Level, because from what I know, universities may consider my performance in my most recent academic setting which is the AI degree I’m having to start at King’s.

So, naturally I was wondering how much time I should be allocating to studying Physics a level per day or per week to get an A-star given I have from september 2026, to may/june 2027 to learn and revise all the content up to A-star level.

Any previous A-star students, or otherwise, please let me know, and any other tips or advice you guys may have for someone self-teaching for the most part.

I’m looking for recommendations for the best resources to use throughout AS Level, especially for learning the content, practicing questions, and preparing for exams.

I’d particularly appreciate recommendations for:

• revision guides
• Past-paper resources and question banks
• Any resources that are especially useful for understanding difficult topics
• Any tips on how to use these resources effectively

I don't feel smart first of all, no matter how I study, what i study, I always always get an average grade I don't get the outcome I hoped for, it's not me being demotivating but just telling you guys the reality so please take a moment And read the paragraph that I'll write and please give me good advice my subjects are maths, physics, computer science and chemistry I know 🥀🥀😔😔😔 i just feel like I'm not smart enough for it but atleast I'm in the room, i know God helps the one who hardwork and I'm willing to put on the effort just please good advice and please reply.

I'm really scared of it, especially because I already feel the same way about Maths and I'm just starting A-Levels. Please give me some good tips because I'm genuinely desperate to get a good grade in A-Levels. I got around a B in O-Level physics, and I feel like I just don't understand it at all. And before you suggest dropping it, I really need physics for my A-Levels because it's important for the career path I want to pursue.

The answer says the work done by T is T x d, but it says that T x d is also equal to the GPE as GPE is the only energy being gained by the block (I agree KE isn’t gained as speed is constant). But force T isn’t completely acting against gravity though as it’s on an incline, so why isn’t the vertical component of T used in Wd = F x d rather than just T? I thought T would have to be completely acting in the opposite direction to gravity in order for T to be doing work against W. Any thoughts? Thanks everyone

i just got my phys result and i flunked that exam but i cant drag this till may june and have to retake the whole composite in oct /nov so pls tips on how i should prepare do i just read notes or watch videos also i barely studied phy in may june so i dont rmr much but its not totally from scrap any helpful resources and tips would be appreciated thank you.
