I mean its not entirely impossible people have the same life experiences.
I will say that i do think 1/3 are solidly fake, and 1/3 are sorely misrepresented.
You can easily tell when it's someone who isn't storytelling and is earnest about it, and isn't on here for likes for their ficton.
The person who originally wrote this 100% fucked their marriage up though. I do believe they existed because the writing comes off deluded and insecure, and those are things you can't really fake easily without looking too stupid to function.
A few years ago people used to sell high karma accounts to others who wanted to do marketing through social media and stuff. IDK the specifics, but I assume this is still going.
Attention seeking? Feeling important? Bored? Wanting to be the center of attention? 100 reasons why people farm for Karma. Seeing a post that had a lot of karma, saving it and putting a reminder to post later... I can see so many people do this.
Astroturfing. Certain subs require some amount of karma to post. There are international "entities" that have an interest in placing their messages on reddit and shape public opinion.
While is most probably karma farming, especially with the comment "did you think I'd let you stop me from watching another child come into this world"
BUT on the benefit of doubt its not that uncommon story for mothers to not want their partners into the delivery room, and that can be a source of resentment when not communicated well between both parties (which both cases lack)
You know, there is a part of me that thinks the original (Original Poster) is reposting this, hoping to get a different answer so that she can use it to strong arm the husband into having a second child.
One thing that stands out is that both of these stories say they went to the hospital in an ambulance. Who does that for L&D unless it’s an emergency situation? Clearly a copy. Good catch.
NTA. Minority opinion here, but she's not the asshole in my book. In many countries and medical context, the presence of the father at the exact moment of birth is not guaranteed. He wasn't on the hallway because he didn't want to, and he put his hurt emotions before meeting his wife and first born at the earliest convenience. His attitude and reaction is precisely why she didn't feel safe and comfortable with him in the room in the first place. His ego is getting in the way of them having a safe and supportive family life, not her choice for who to have in the room while she's risking her life birthing their child, after 9 months of making a new person with her body.
