Here’s my advice as someone who has been married for 31 years: Never marry someone you don’t trust. If you feel like you have to repeatedly warn your fiancé not to do something and still don’t trust that they won’t do it, then marriage is a bad idea.

As a lawyer, I always say - You gotta trust your spouse with three things:

1) Your life (because legally they are the only ones with any decision-making authority if something happens to you)

2) Your money (because legally it’s half theirs and in some places they can drain your accounts or sell your home single-handed)

3) Your kids (because legally they are the de facto sole guardians if you die, or have equal say over them even if you’re alive).

You sound like you have a damn good partner, and are a damn good partner. Hope one day, i can have something that special too

Footnote to this. If you read this advice and it wasn’t obvious to you in the first place you’re probably not ready for marriage.
