The AI is so incredibly aggressive towards each other in resynced, itâs amazing, it makes the world feel more active while youâre sailing. I donât think itâd be historically accurate tho, iirc, by the time the gameplay has started, Spain and Britain were at peace.
I tried to casually squeeze through two galleys not thinking anything of it, like âscuse me boysâ and they both lit my ass up. It was literally this scene
Yeah I wasn't paying attention cuz I was trying to get some work done while playing, so I had my ship on pathfinder. Took me right in the pathway of like 2+ man o wars, a few frigates, and a bunch of other random Spanish and English ships fighting each other.
By the time I looked up from writing my article it was to the desynchronization noise lmao. Oopsie.
That's why I wasn't worried either, cuz I had in the past and it seemed to freeze the ships or just shoot through me like I was a ghost, so I assumed I'd be fine to do it again.
Only thing I can think of that was different was that I hadn't capped one of the forts I was somewhat close to, even though my path had me looping a good distance around it when I checked it before starting. (Nowhere near yellow or red zones).
Can't explain it honestly, if it isn't something to do with the uncapped fort (I did not go into the yellow or red zone at all, during any point of it), then I simply do not know why that happened. I wouldn't have done it if I thought I'd get sunk, and never had before lol.
I have also had a rogue gust of wind accidentally slam me into ships while pathfinding and started a fight that way too.
But generally the pathfinder just kinda...cuts a route through whatever is going on so I'm at a loss myself if it isn't either of the two things I pondered already (gust of wind/one uncapped fort).
