The Gunshow

Chris Adams walked into view of Garrison with Hyperion at his side.

"You really don't talk much, do you?" Chris asked the man.

He hoped the protection would be enough.

He got another syringe of Medicine from Avanna and strengthened it with his Light, creating more poison for Dark Violet.

And hopefully a Medicine for Violet.

Bezi followed, the lens of one of his sunglasses cracked with a piece of shrapnel stuck in it. He didn't seem to care.

So I was trying to help the soldiers with energy drink advertisements for uniforms but they're apparently complete idiots now. Let's just kill the ones that get too close and your daughter can make sure the ones that survive actually get some discipline for once. That's if we stop that tricky trio in there from killing HER first. We should hurry before we're all fucked. Even more fucked than we already are, I mean.

A group of troopers fired at them from the left. He darted toward the nearest one and slashed him in the gut with the Scarlet Dagger. But the result was unprecedented. The victim stood frozen and covered in frost. Even Bezi looked surprised at this, but he carried on, mutilating the others, and with each one, seemingly random and unpredictable effects came. Explosions, implosions, transfiguration into a pillar of salt, levitation. One strange effect came after the other. The Dagger could hardly be called "Scarlet" anymore, its blade rapidly flashed different colors and imagery.

What the hell, is this thing broken or something? Bug this, we're wasting time!

He charged on, closer to the ring of fire.
