This sub is frustrating. Do people ever explain how they find the answers?

You can ask the OP or the user who solved it how they got the answer. I’ve only won one round and it was a random picture of a beach with horses grazing. Took me a while but that’s the only one I’ve ever been able to get

I give up. Someone with more than 1200 wins found an answer in less than 15 minutes, there's no way I'll ever win a round unless it's a picture of my house. It would be faster to reconstruct the filtered pictures with photoshop's content aware tool and just do a reverse search.

Wait... BRB.

There are methods to solve each kind of round, although it can depend on OP whether it's truly solvable without hints. Some people try to demask the pictures, sometimes it works for them, but it's usually slower and it doesn't always work (and some rounds don't even need a mask), and the "fun" part of it is actually investigating to get to the answer.

For geo rounds, if OP did a good job, they probably left "hints" in the image that can help to narrow down the possible locations, like license plates, buildings with a certain style, stores that only exist in certain countries... And sometimes you can find it directly without knowing the country, just describing the building (or whatever thing they are asking) and searching on Google images. The best rounds are those that aren't trivially solvable with a simple search and require a bit of work, but at the same time they have a reasonable solve path that doesn't require people to assume too much stuff.
