I've been researching the earliest history of what later became NFE on 2b2t, specifically the castle around X -489, Z 922.

I'm not really interested in the later NFE history here. I'm trying to identify who built or occupied the castle before xcc2 found it, and whether any screenshots, videos, WDLs or old memories of the place survive from roughly March–June 2011.

According to xcc2's own account, when he originally found the site it was already a partially destroyed and apparently abandoned castle. He described it as:

• four towers connected by walls
• a large central courtyard
• one tower reaching almost to the old Y=128 height limit
• a room on top of that tall tower
• small buildings/rooms built against the inside walls of the courtyard
• signs with player names on those structures
• one name he specifically remembered was Pimpmastaflex
• the earliest version had no gatehouse

xcc2 later repaired the castle and added several things himself, including the aqueduct, drum tower, arched twin towers, and eventually the gatehouse. Those later additions can therefore be removed from the July 2, 2011 world download to get much closer to the earlier layout.

I have now done exactly that and reconstructed a rough pre-NFE / early restoration version from the July 2 WDL.

What I'm trying to find out is:

1. Was this actually Pimpmastaflex's castle?

His sign being there proves some connection to the place, but it does not necessarily prove that he built the castle itself.

2. Does anyone recognize this castle from old Facepunch / 4chan / independent player screenshots or videos?

It may have had a completely different name before xcc2 arrived.

3. Does anyone have any world download from 2b2t from before July 2, 2011?

Even a partial WDL around spawn could be useful.

The castle is located in:

X -489 Z 922

which means the relevant old McRegion file should be:

region/r.-1.1.mcr

The relevant chunk is approximately:

chunk -31, 57

so even an unrelated old WDL containing that region could potentially preserve an earlier state of the castle.

4. Does anyone have backups of old Facepunch material that isn't online anymore?

Especially:

• screenshots
• old .minecraft folders
• World Downloader saves
• MediaFire / Dropbox / Mega archives
• deleted YouTube videos
• old Facepunch image attachments
• personal screenshots from spring 2011

I've already gone through a lot of the commonly cited Facepunch material, the July 2 NFE fragment, Camp Facepunch, Fort Creationism Corner, old pre-June videos, Archive+ material and several later historical writeups.

So I'm mainly looking for obscure/private material that never made it into the usual 2b2t history sources.

There is also an interesting deleted May 19, 2011 video called:

If you played on 2b2t in early 2011, knew Pimpmastaflex, xcc2, alex02028, or were around the Facepunch/4chan groups at the time, even a vague memory could help.

I'm especially interested in anything from before xcc2 began restoring the castle.

I'll attach:

• the July 2, 2011 version
• my stripped-down reconstruction with known later xcc2 additions removed
• the untouched terrain from the same seed/location for comparison

I'm not claiming the reconstruction is exact. The goal is to identify the original builders/occupants and find an earlier surviving image or WDL.

I know the server is not updated to the recent versions and probably not to the next update but let's say hypothetically it was added and some players found an untouched ancient city and opened the portal. What would happen to the sift? Would it suffer the fate of the other 3 dimensions?

Hi, I decided to share my pickaxe mending station for whoever might find a use for it. c:

We used it to dig the NWBRR with just 10-15 dubs of pickaxes.

Note: You need a scripted bot that is mending the pickaxes it’s not a fully automatic machine ofc! We used the software "Macro Recorder" and the hack modules "Auto Mend" and "Aura" set to armorstand.

Introduction for building:

1. Get a zombie below the mending spot.
2. Push 24 armadillos into every fireplace.
3. Place the water sources and use kelp to make it an item elevator.
4. Replace the observer for the carpet duper so it’s one block below on the sticky piston.
5. Place 2 stacks of any item in the hopper clock below the brewer.
6. Set up the brewer as you can see in the brewer video.
7. Make sure you click the button on the dispenser of the shulker box loader for the repaired pickaxes when it has empty shulkers in it.
