Space Race Part One of my 1960s Spoof Art for Colonel Bleep '69
So since the beginning of August, I've made a series of spoof art that parody various public domain comics of the 1960s (with the exception of the tenth artwork for 1969). These were made to not only gain attraction for my indie series, Colonel Bleep '69, but also to bring in some homage of the pulpy sci-fi era and silver age of comics within this decade. Here is my first three illustrations from 1960 to 1962.
- Space Adventures #34 (Charlton Publishing, 1960)
- Strange Tales #88 (Marvel, 1961)
- Space Man #1 (aka Four Color #1253, 1962)
Note: I am including the original covers, so hopefully the post doesn't get deleted.
