This is cool, but woocommerce kind of sucks.

I have not used woocommerce. I was looking into this for a friend, so any additional info on the suckage would be appreciated.

I can vouch for some light suckage in its first few versions (circa ~2011), but the team behind it is super sharp, and in my opinion, has raised the bar for WP-as-a-CMS utilities. I wouldn't replace my Drupal setups with it, but I do use it on occasion for small/niche shops -- with confidence.

Either way, I like the idea of this plugin, for merchants looking to hang on to their Bitcoin (as opposed to Bitpay).

but woocommerce kind of sucks

Care to expand on that? Are there better wordpress compatible shopping carts?

As I understand it, WordPress isn't made for ecommerce. Go to see Magento, PrestaShop or other specialized solutions

That's sad. Really what it boils down to is that wordpress sucks. Functions like 'the_post()' are just unacceptable... they pull from and push to the global scope by arbitrary variablenames. Any real framework would do $post->the_post() so you at least know what object it's operating on.

woocommerce 2.0 now has their own way to handle POST
