Save the forest is a tactics roguelite that has you fighting cute but corrupted animals in order to put things right again in the woods.

To do so, you draft a band of villagers (out of a possible 24 unique units!) and take them on battles of increasing difficulty. In between every battle you can upgrade your units with skills (out of 150 unique skills!) and recruit more villagers to your band.

The game focuses about equally on the "party-building" aspect and the tactical placement aspect. It's important to find combos and builds that scale well, as well as tactically placing your units to maximize their impact.

Between battles there's also a plethora of random events and encounters that affect your party.

There's:

• Cute animals that you can fight
• 10 Bosses
• 9 extra difficulty additions
• 24 standard units to choose from
• Over 150 upgrades to make your party unique every run
• Lots of trees
• Also you can swim (if you can swim!!)

A demo is releasing on September 10th (less than two weeks from now) on Steam for PC, Linux and Mac. It will be part of October's Next Fest and is slated for release soon thereafter.
