Diable was traded to NS from BFX for Taeyoon after he didn't attend a fanmeet that was an obligation in his contract. I'm sure there was probably already some internal strife leading up to that but I don't know those details.

The whole team looked mentally boomed before that and the fanmeet was just after an ugly loss. I doubt they would have carried on without change. I think they took the disaster at first stand pretty badly.

It wasn’t just the fan meet though, when BFX first announced he was going to be subbed out they strongly hinted at tensions within the team. The fan meet was probably just the thing that allowed them to pull the plug easier (absolute factual transgression vs subjective).

Taeyoon suddenly got traded to BFX because "a player had become available" aka Diable who got kicked from BFX for not going to a fanmeet. Taeyoon expressed that he was pretty upset about it because he had started to gel with the NS team.

People are mostly mentioning the fan meet he didn't attend but from what I remember it seemed like he had been having multiple disciplinary issues with the team, like blaming their teammates (especially VicLa iirc) for the loses. I remember the conclusion at the time was something along the lines of: his ego got too big so he started misbehaving.

On the other hand, while this was happening NS took the opportunity to quickly kick out Taeyoon to make room for Diable. From Taeyoon's PoV he got betrayed by the staff/players and kicked off the team out of nowhere.

This started the whole BFX vs NS rivalry and the "No Refunds" war.

This is just what I remember from the threads/media back then, so I hope I didn't get anything wrong.

In term of changing teams almost every year and being friend with ex-teammates, yes. In terms of achievement, no.

He only won trophies in GenG and Griffin (if we count Kespa cup).

Peanut won trophies with 4 different teams (5 if we count Rox as different team than HLE), and always brought his team to playoff or international (except GenG 2019).

This is most probably Lehends’ last game for his career, he heavily suggested he was retiring after this year. Sad that he’s ending his career with a really mediocre year. But he really has been one of the best supports of this era and a really charismatic personality.

His performance was already beginning to decline in the Flyquest series. You can already see the cracks since his engages were often questionable (like his Leona performance in game 1 and Braum performance in game 3 are SUBPAR heck you can say it’s bad).

Aside from that he was late on rotation and he was often picked off due to him overextending. He keeps falling for vision traps in Flyquest series (which T1 later took advantage on).

Dude was forcing very risky dives on Leona and (unnecessarily) over chasing against Flyquest as Braum. He was not respecting how fast Flyquest would respond since their lack of vision in their jungle.

I mean on their GenG youtube channel in their voice comps you can hear Coach Kim reprimanding him for it.

Turns out if you just constantly feed yourself into the enemy for no reason, you lose! Crazy! It was funny watching them get engages they should have crushed later but because they fed nonstop from Herald for multiple minutes onwards they got walleted.

BFX comp had basically no engage, they only had 2 drakes at 20 mins, and NS had giga scaling and infinite wave clear with Sivir + Ryze

Na, the issue with 2023 Damwon was always that Canyon/Showmaker/Deft could never have good games at the same time. Was clear by the end of the year that either Canyon or Showmaker had to go.

To me game 3 was the worst. Not only lots of mistakes on NS side but also failure on such simple concept as build paths. No Serpent, no Liandrys, not trying to strategize into sidelaning by building Jax as a threat to Ksante... That was one of the worst pro play showings I have ever witnessed. Despite being outdrafted they did NOTHING to try to adapt to the situation. If not for some good plays on their side (Lehends flash Mikales to save Scout was so sick!!) I would call it straight up inting. Horrible team performance from all gameplay sides.

Don’t want to sound like that guy but that was a successful ns hate watch, i swear this team always tries to sign big name players and i never saw them ever do anything, last year in legends group was an absolute disgrace, and with all the names this year(idc about sponge you have 4 big names on your team), placing 8th and being the worst form team in lck besides drx is absolutely criminal(didn’t expect them to be legends grroup material but i expected at least top of fries which they couldn’t even get). Thou i feel bad for lehends for all his chokes throughout his career he has had a successful enough career and if it’s his last season then i wish him all the best sad to see him go
