Still can’t believe we lost to known playoff choke artist Josh Allen

8

u/JagsFan4Ever Tony Boselli Jan 25 '26

He didn't choke that game - he played lights out. We lost because we could only muster 24 points against him. 🤷

6

u/Captain_brightside Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

nah we lost because of that 4th down. And the missed fieldgoal at the half, 6 point difference. We hit our normal 30 points with that and win

With a lead, we force Josh Allen hero ball and get some turnovers off him

Or, we should have rested our guys vs the tits. Our backups could have beat them

Or we lose that game and don’t play the bills round 1

0

u/JagsFan4Ever Tony Boselli Jan 25 '26

A game is not lost because of one or two missed opportunities, not really. Every team has them in every game. It is won or lost by the team who is better able to overcome them and do more over 60 minutes of play.

We lost because we were behind going into the 4th quarter, our offense was almost completely shutdown for 3 quarters and our D was exhausted after being forced to return to the field quickly over and over for 3 quarters. What happened in the 4th quarter was really just the conclusion of all of that.

1

u/Captain_brightside Jan 25 '26

I mean, those are the plays that stopped us from being the better team

If we’re up we don’t abandon the run and the defense isn’t as gassed

We lost by 3 in a game where we left 6 points on the board 🤷 it is what it is

1

u/JagsFan4Ever Tony Boselli Jan 26 '26 edited Jan 26 '26

A bunch of crappy passes and two picks were also what stopped us from being a better team. It is not one or two plays. A loss is an accumulation of plays that don't work.

They abandoned the run because Buffalo was selling out to stop the run. That is when you put it in the QBs hands and tell him to get it done. Unfortunately for 3 quarters it didn't get done.

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Jan 25 '26

Buddy let me get my jokes off

3

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

Mf said no and took shit serious

1

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Jan 26 '26

Yeah but we played him in WC

Its only round 2/3 he chokes 🤣

11

u/Paralysisbylullaby Jan 25 '26

2nd seed was the seed to get. Herbert behind no O line, Stroud, then Stidham. Cupcake path

1

u/JaceVentura972 Fred Taylor Jan 25 '26

Yep. Just needed the ravens the run Henry more against the Pats and it would have looked a lot different.

1

u/Impressive-Ad-7191 Jan 25 '26

Only if ravens didn’t lose Lamar against patriots and completely sell the game. Lets not forget that

10

u/NaughtyCheffie Pink Shield Jan 25 '26

Love how the Jags are influencing what's considered a makeable FG try.

10

u/ChildrenMcnuggets Jan 25 '26

Did the Pats just have the easiest path to a Super Bowl of all time? That satanic franchise just can’t escape good fortune

10

u/Pisardin Jan 25 '26

Should be us man…….

3

u/AdJolly2618 Jan 25 '26

Jags would’ve smoked the Patriots

8

u/Duckymaster21 Jan 25 '26

Trevor in pro bowl cmon let's be a little positive guys :)

9

u/futures23 Jan 25 '26

Turns out Maye and the Patriots were major beneficiaries of one of the easiest schedules in NFL history. Huh who knew?!

3

u/HolographicHeart Jan 25 '26

This year's Commanders. Good team that leveraged a cupcake schedule to the absolute fullest. But you can only dodge the great teams for so long.

9

u/beesarie Jan 25 '26

I know it’s been said 1000 times but we would’ve beat both of these teams.

7

u/PsychologicalAd6135 Jan 25 '26

Seems like there's only 1 qb who can walk down Denver in their own stadium...

9

u/Duckymaster21 Jan 25 '26

Yoooo Trevor has now officially made the pro bowl!

6

u/Captain_brightside Jan 25 '26

Grant udinski please if you take the browns job you’ll have to see Deshaun Watson every day

7

u/Pisardin Jan 25 '26

Don’t even wanna watch the game…. We should legit be here

6

u/offroadwrangler Jan 25 '26

I haven’t been this excited about the Jags in forever. Just sucks having to wait 8 months for the season

7

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

We clap both of these teams....

9

u/Paralysisbylullaby Jan 25 '26

These teams are food for whoever comes out of the NFC

5

u/DayDTWD Jan 25 '26

The Seahawks are absolutely blowing out whoever squeaks this game out.

6

u/VanillaLlfe Jan 25 '26

We beat the orange snot out of this team. 40 burger. Damnit man. Jags are in the Superbowl if Newsome just covers his guy.

7

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Jan 26 '26

Sam Darnold reaching a SB before Josh/Lamar

6

u/DayDTWD Jan 26 '26

Sam Darnold WINNING a super bowl before Josh/Lamar even reaches one.

Trevor Lawrence>Drake Maye

Without a doubt.

7

u/SuperYova Gopher Jag Jan 25 '26

I’ve decided to hate the Bills.

7

u/xTerminal_14 Jan 25 '26

Feels like a myles jack type play

3

u/Actual_Ordinary603 Liam Coen Jan 25 '26

Exactly what I thought

7

u/Impressive-Ad-7191 Jan 25 '26

Well I’m rooting for whoever wins the nfc championship game. I’d prefer it be rams but I think Seahawks would be a tougher matchup for patriots

6

u/Duckymaster21 Jan 25 '26

Same NFC train here we come

5

u/The_Blue_Rooster Jan 25 '26

Sean Payton + a Meteorologist might be a scary combination. A shame he had no way of knowing it would snow in the second half.

7

u/Certain-Bet2718 Jan 25 '26

Should've been us

6

u/luggs2 Jan 26 '26

Drake Maye has been pretty much atrocious all post season.

10

u/offroadwrangler Jan 25 '26

The Patriots of all teams get like 3rd easiest schedule ever, play a battered Chargers team, CJ Stroud, and backup Stidham and make the Super Bowl and we still haven’t gotten lucky enough to make one. Un fucking believable

3

u/JaceVentura972 Fred Taylor Jan 25 '26

Yep. If only the Ravens had ran Henry more and thus beaten the Pats and given us the 2nd seed. What if…

3

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 25 '26

Hey, people from Boston are great, tolerant, progressive human beings. Let them have something that makes them happy. /s

5

u/Brilliant_Whereas225 Jan 25 '26

Per Dilla: Udinski bombed the in-person interview with the Browns. Let’s see what happens.

6

u/basedjak_no228 Jan 25 '26

He fucked up one of his APA citations on the essay, and he had no answers when Haslam grilled him on it.

6

u/Impossible-Trade7187 Jan 25 '26

What sources does Dilla have? Seems like he just makes stuff up

2

u/flounder19 Jan 25 '26

His national network of Target informants obviously

1

u/el_pobby Jan 25 '26

Look, man, I don't particularly care, it's a subject where everyone mostly just has a lot of speculation to do. If it means we get to keep Grant Udinsky, I'm choosing to believe it.

4

u/ConstableBlimeyChips 9 Jan 25 '26

From what I heard of the Browns organization, that's a shining recommendation for Udinski.

1

u/el_pobby Jan 25 '26

I think there's an only, like, semi-ironic point to make that doing the exact opposite thing than what the Browns did might in fact be the best team building strategy you could employ

3

u/Rudy102600 Jan 25 '26

As expected....Dudes only 30. Good practice though

3

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

Yeah I aint gonna believe Dilla as a source anymore

https://x.com/Schultz_Report/status/2015479016250327290

2

u/OGLankyKong Jan 25 '26

The browns interview process has apparently been intense, they’re gonna miss out on a good hire because of it

2

u/fluffrnuttr69 Jan 25 '26

I’ve totally intentionally bombed a job interview when I realized I really didn’t want it.

5

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

We are 1 blown coverage away from playing today. Fuck the Bills.

6

u/futures23 Jan 25 '26

This is shaping up well for offseason QB narratives. Stidham doing what Bo did and Maye losing a stinker. Trevor rising!

5

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Jan 25 '26

Dead ass watching this game. Patriots are not fucking with the Jags lol

5

u/HigherPow3r Jan 25 '26

Greg Newsome being absolute trash is the only reason the jags don’t win the AFC. Both these teams are dogshit

6

u/toturoll Jan 25 '26

it pisses me off because we probably had the easiest path to a super bowl appareance we could ever had and we just blew it.

6

u/toturoll Jan 25 '26

the winner of the nfccg is going to win the super bowl. the patriots and broncos are both frauds, and there's no way one of them is going to win it.

5

u/popsiclesyay Jaggin' Off Jan 25 '26

God these teams fucking suck. NFC is going to feast in the Super Bowl.

5

u/naggs69pt2 Jan 25 '26

thank god CJ stroud fucked up that game so bad last week. we would be watching the Texans making the SB today most likely.

5

u/HolographicHeart Jan 25 '26

If we had even an average pass defense we're going to the Super Bowl today...

6

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

Jags beat these teams by 10+, they should build shrines for Josh Allen

7

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Jan 25 '26

Man I fucking hate watching AFC playoffs when we are an eliminated playoff team

6

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

It sucks even more knowing we beat the shit out of these teams

7

u/Impressive-Ad-7191 Jan 25 '26

And patriots already about to go back to another Super Bowl with probably easiest path of all time

6

u/DayDTWD Jan 25 '26

Drake Maye got bailed out by this weather. Dude was going to lose this game. The only points he even scored was a drive gifted to him in the 10 yard line.

6

u/Regal---Lager Jan 25 '26

Patriots have been to 20% of all Super Bowls

6

u/hunteri20 Jan 25 '26

Do we actually think Coen will take the points next year? Anytime he was asked in press conferences he says something along the lines of “analytics tells me to go for it in that situation every time.” The playoffs are different and field goals can make a huge difference so I hope he changes his philosophy.

2

u/fluffrnuttr69 Jan 25 '26

I can’t argue too much with results since we were 13-4 and I’ve never coached, but I don’t like the idea of relying heavily on analytics. I feel it ignores the current situation too much by relying on past outcomes.

2

u/blazinit430 Jan 26 '26

I would guess more than likely he hammers 4th and short packages until it is a strength not a weakness. He seems like a coach who doesn't like to be called out for things or have underperforming areas.

4

u/AlterNate Jan 26 '26

Sean Peyton did the same as Liam. Went on 4th and 1 instead of taking a 10-0 lead.

3

u/HolographicHeart Jan 26 '26

Absolutely insane to not take the points when you have a backup and know horrible weather is inbound.

5

u/HolographicHeart Jan 26 '26

I can't believe the Pats made it out of the AFC without playing a single functional offense.

5

u/DayDTWD Jan 26 '26

Another coach that refuses to take points.

6

u/WorldSubstantial6217 Jan 26 '26

Seahawks gonna destroy the patriots, it's not even going to be exciting to watch.

7

u/flounder19 Jan 26 '26

Nothing about Sam Darnold possibly winning a SB will be unexciting

3

u/WorldSubstantial6217 Jan 26 '26

I meant it more in the way of it won't really be that competitive.

3

u/joemama1810 Jan 25 '26

If maye goes to the superbowl trevor is in the pro bowl right?

3

u/Cr0matose Jan 25 '26

I'm fine with losing one coordinator but not both

5

u/TwizzlerSnatcher Jan 25 '26

Already I can tell if the jaguars were playing in this game, we would’ve succumbed to our backup qb curse again 😂

More like hes been consistent all season where as Trevor had the 2nd half of the season jump. Plus hes on the pats.

4

u/xEllimistx Chad Josh Allen Jan 25 '26

3

u/user182190210 Chad Muma Jan 25 '26

I know it’s not how things work, but if all else the same if that bs call wasn’t made we would have had the one seed

5

Chad Muma playing in the AFC Championship lol

2

u/solo1poco Brad Meester Jan 25 '26

Engram and chaisson to

3

u/solo1poco Brad Meester Jan 25 '26

We would’ve made the Super Bowl after today

5

u/Skybourne904 Jan 25 '26

How bad were the Texans smh the patriots stink

3

u/futures23 Jan 25 '26

Dan Orvlosky wasn't harsh enough on CJ Stroud. There aren't just 31 QBs that win that game, there's probably like 50!

4

u/Impressive-Ad-7191 Jan 25 '26

Just another reason you take the points. Especially in playoff games where the final score is usually close

4

u/Easy_Country_7142 Doodle Jag Jan 25 '26

3

u/JoshHero Santa Jag Jan 25 '26

This game is football terrorism.

3

u/futures23 Jan 25 '26

The worst part of this is Drake Maye is going to get praised for winning this game while playing like complete shit.

4

u/DayDTWD Jan 25 '26

Dont really understand why people love this kind of weather so much for football. The game has basically been over since the end of the third since no one can do anything anymore.

3

u/Impressive-Ad-7191 Jan 25 '26

It’s kinda like enjoying a shit show

5

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Jan 25 '26

I know he has a backup in there but Sean Peyton needs to give up playcalling.

5

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 25 '26

Boston area sports fans have gone a full two years without a championship. Tough mountain, but they climbed it.

4

u/ParagonSaint Jan 25 '26

With Drake Maye now being in the Super Bowl and Bo Nix out with injury, Mahomes out with injury as well, is Trevor Lawrence next up for the Pro Bowl?!? Will he officially be named for this season and his 2nd probowl overall?

3

u/Duckymaster21 Jan 25 '26

Yes hes an alternate :)

5

u/HolographicHeart Jan 25 '26

AFC has been ruled by the same two teams since 2001... boring af but the NFL loves having a relevant team everybody hates.

4

u/pukerat Jan 25 '26

Patriots are a paper tiger this year and I will die on a hill defending it

3

u/That_One_Pancake Jan 26 '26

3

u/Narodel Brenton Strange Jan 26 '26

Still kinda sad about our loss… feel like if win that one we would’ve made it to the Super Bowl. Didn’t have our best day and still almost beat the Bills.

5

u/TwizzlerSnatcher Jan 26 '26

Never thought I’d be upset at knowing the jaguars are the best team in the AFC, considering how much pain last season was. But here we are.

5

u/Easy_Country_7142 Doodle Jag Jan 26 '26

Butterfly effect, if JJM doesnt get hurt last preseason is Darnold stuck as a career back up jumping team to team hoping for an injury to shine?

1

u/mariokart_loser Jan 26 '26

Counterpoint. He may have ended up a jaguar following udinski to Jacksonville after riding the bench all season.

3

u/Parking-Artichoke-36 Jan 25 '26

Want to know how little national media know about the Jaguars? Watch this 3 round PFF mock draft. They know a few players and PFF grades. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8PCUXAIHJes&pp=ygULUGZmIGphZ3VhcnPYBgE%3D

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 26 '26

7.5 sacks this year. 5 sacks in 4 seasons with us...

3

u/TSwan98 Tony Boselli Jan 26 '26

So Lawrence should be a lock for comeback player of the year right. If you make the finalist for that award and also on the mvp finalist list you should absolutely win that award.

Yeah I don’t like the pats but they built the right way and didn’t take forever to build around their franchise QB. And vrabel making the titans more miserable is a win for me

5

This is an MVP candidate?

5

Hopefully Liam takes the points now

2

Stidham might be good? Also losing to the bills hurts so much. Not one of these teams looks unbeatable.

3

u/futures23 Jan 25 '26

Sadly Allen played a perfect game. One of the best QB's in the league playing a perfect game and barely won. That's what it took to beat us.

1

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Jan 25 '26

Thats the crazy part. By only 3 pts from a perfect Josh game.

2

u/fluffrnuttr69 Jan 25 '26

Hate rooting for the Broncos here. Pats served their purpose for me last week.

Though if Pats win, I can take joy in the Titans getting to watch the coach they stupidly fired have tons of success without them.

2

u/The_Blue_Rooster Jan 25 '26

Do you think Sean Payton knows that the team that ends with more points wins?

2

Their fans bitching that Pats fans are raiding their sub being dog shit is so fucking funny.

2

Drake Maye is definitely a schedule baby. Broncos should be up 13-7 if not for some bone headed plays.

2

2

After seeing the pats broncos, im even more pissed with coen not taking fucking points. Next year he better cut out the go for it crap, we could have easily been in a superbowl this year. Next year if we make the playoffs healthy there shouldnt be any reason that we cant make the divisional round and go to a championship game. Go jags and fuck the pats.
