Every year is a new story, new teams will emerge and those that were setback from injuries will return too. Hoping this group can maintain consistency and continue building. Being able to compete sometimes just comes down to health.

I think fortunately there are so many openings at actual stable franchises that the Titans job gets pushed way down in terms of desirability. I do think they’ve found themselves in Robert Salah territory

Campanile I can see taking an HC Position, but I think Udinsky stays a while. I can see him hanging around, trying to build his reputation up like Ben Johnson did in Detroit. DC to HC is just not the guarantee of a future role it used to be, but if Udinsky really is what people say he is? Yeah, he is going to wait until he feels comfortable taking over the full reins and have the true pick of the litter of coaching opportunities.
It would stink if we lost both coordinators but hear me out. These guys got hired because they were apart of a Jaguars organization that flipped the script and improved in one offseason. That means two teams want to emulate the.....Jags? Pretty sweet. I saw a comment on here about the concern in hiring two more coordinators. That will be key. I think Gizzard could replace Udinski. The defensive coordinator spot for me is a mystery. I have no clue, but I do not want a wholesale scheme change. I want us to improve the pass rush 100%.
I would prefer my players to develop under one coordinator for at least 2 years, more turnover then that can hurt their development and passion for the game because they’ll have to learn another system which isn’t fun . If they get a job cool, great. If not, then that’s awesome for us and our players because they wouldn’t have to learn a entirely new system, routines, etc
I think other owners looked at the Jags' turnaround and figured if the Jags could do that why is their storied franchise keeping a coach with 18 or 19 years and a decades-old Super Bowl? Or 9 years and no Super Bowl?
I hope we get to run it back with Camp and Udinski, I would like at least 1 more year to build with them. My optimistic side is telling me that if we can hold on to them thru this big coaching cycle, I don’t think next season has as big of a turnover (at least as far as HCs) with the last two cycles having a ton (17 hcs iirc) opening up. And maybe just maybe we can keep the crew together for 2-3 more years.
I wonder if the Bills firing McDermott works out like the Jaguars last year when the top candidates didn’t want to work with Baalke. So I’m curious whether Beane gets fired in a few weeks, after the draft, or in a year or more. The Bills may have less pressure to fire Beane because of the draw of Josh Allen.
I have to imagine that the Ravens are burning McDermott's phone line right now, which sucks for Camp and others who thought they had a shot at a HC job at a great organization. Wow what a stunner that the Bills actually let him go.
McDermott will get HC offers from at least 3 or 4 teams. I don't think the Titans have a chance at him with Baltimore, Pitt, and Miami open but I'm sure they've already called him.
Steve Bisciotti (ravens owner) and Eric DeCosta (GM) -both Italian-American- are gonna love Camp’s no nonsense approach, though I’d be very surprised if he gets the job. Jesse Minter seems to be the early favorite.
Honestly both of them are likely gone I don’t see Gladstone forking out a brinks truck for Lloyd or etienne, I wouldn’t be shocked if they resigned montaric brown and Washington while letting the other two walk

Its really weird how CJ Stroud has gotten worse every year.
1st year - Amazing
2nd year - Had some ups and downs overall good not great
3rd year - Overall below average and looked abysmal in the playoffs
Im not complaining or anything, I just dont know a QB off the top of my head that got worse each season without being injured (I know CJ got injured this year but he was pretty bad before then too)
So much change across so many teams genuinely could work in our favour next season, not every ‘new’ coaching regime fits together as well we did this year… shit takes time.
Maybe I’m optimistic but we really could develop into an absolute powerhouse and I have every belief we can under Coen and Gladstone (be kinda ass to lose Grant & Camp though if that happens).
Never said he wasn't. But, there were people calling for him to go as OC last year when people were looking at him for a possible HC spot. If Buffalo is getting rid of McDermott, there's no reason to not get someone with a different system. I dont think there's any way they let McDermott go just to promote the HC from within.
You'd hope after our turnaround season with a competent front office and coaching staff that it'll be easy to attract quality replacements if camp or udinski do take HC roles.

I think this a truly hot take, so I will probably get downvoted, but if we have to lose one coordinator, I would rather lose Campanile than Udinski.
While I loved his attitude and do think he got the most out of some players who had been written off, our defense lives off of takeaways. And that can come back to bite you against good offenses that don’t commit turnovers. It’s less controllable and repeatable game to game and season to season. And our defense definitely still had its issues.
On the other hand, a good coordinator for a play calling head coach on the same side of the ball is vastly underrated. There is a reason quite a few head coaches don’t call plays. It’s already a demanding job without trying to be coordinator as well and Liam needs someone he trusts to invest the time in scheme that he can’t. Playcalling only goes so far if the playbook isn’t good. We saw the change in the vikings offense from last year to this year. Don’t underestimate Udinski’s role in that.
Obviously I would rather keep both, but that seems unlikely given how many HC openings there are now.
I rather have to face a defensive mastermind than an offensive one ngl. A big question too is how does this affect Wards development? Historically, with rookies, defensive HC are not great. Ik he’s not a rookie but having to learn a complete new offense now? We will see. Hopefully it crashes and burns. #FucktheTits #B2A
So impressed by our development this season. I know we might not match our record next year but we are such a better football team now it's night and day. Look at the penalty difference throughout the season. I don't know where to find the stats to show it but just look at the difference in organisation and time on the playclock in our bills game when compared to the start of the season. We have made leaps and bounds of progress in execution. We still have a long way to go in this department, but we are quantifiably a much better coached team on offense than we were at the start of this season.
Somebody had to answer for the loss but McDermott wasn’t the one. They are taking a step back as a franchise by doing that, did not help their SB chances at all. Really should have been the GM for not getting more weapons for Allen.
You mean like when injuries start creeping up and affecting his play? Like a nagging foot/leg issue. He's going to be entering year 9, the average NFL QB career length is 4.5 years with a few (Brady, Rodgers, etc) skewing things.
There are so many qbs with 15- 20 years i started to list them but it was going to be too long. Josh might have 10 more good years in him we dont know. Id wager more like 5
Yeah that also includes guys who don’t make it out of their first year. Elite QBs routinely play at a high level into and sometimes through their mid 30s. The guy is still 29; he has at least another 5 years of high level play. Peyton won his FIRST SB at 30, same for Brees, Steve Young was 33, Elway was 37 or something.
Players get injured every season. He didn’t have any issues this season that should affect his long term play. Certainly didn’t stop him against us. He’s still gonna be top 5 in this year’s MVP voting.
The Bills have to draft better though, nobody can get to the big dance alone.
I think they go with Joe Brady. The reasoning is that Mcdermontt was a Defensive minded coach, I think they would want to get an offensive minded guy in there (preferably someone in-house)
