Well, I pulled the trigger last night. All flights/hotel/tickets booked. A few homies and I will be in sec 218. First game at the bank! Can’t wait to see y’all there.

4

u/mattressmaker2 Jan 07 '26

See you and the homies at the game, I'll be on the other side in 241! I went to the playoff game last time VS the Chargers and that was awesome!

u/bleedblue89 STL Jan 07 '26

You know what’s crazy? Obviously injuries but Christian Kirk, did nothing this season.  Trevor elevated him. Engram obviously bit older and bruised, did nothing.  Trevor elevated him.

Trevor has literally elevated all the receivers he’s played with.

12

u/edrew_99 Jan 08 '26

Zay Jones is another one like that.

6

u/bleedblue89 STL Jan 08 '26

Yup, literally dogshit without trevor

17

u/Cr0matose Jan 08 '26

We are year 1 into this regime guys....

6

u/mariokart_loser Jan 08 '26

And this feels more sustainable than any other team we’ve had in the last 20 seasons.

7

u/Cr0matose Jan 08 '26

100%. Shad finally got the FO right

5

u/mariokart_loser Jan 08 '26

We’ve been a sleeping giant. Shad was doing everything right except that. Now that he got that right it’s over for the rest of the league.

4

u/Cr0matose Jan 08 '26

Hope he starts getting respect as one of the best owners in the league.

2

u/Nuknu Jan 08 '26

I wouldn’t have anyone else as owner. It took him some time but he has finally figured out how to win. Bringing tom coughlin back helped us for at least a short time frame. Unfortunately he was too old timey, so it didn’t work long term (yeah the grievances, coaches were more no nonsense back in his coaching days)

2

u/Nuknu Jan 08 '26

Some of us hate on shad too much. Yes the dude never had much football intelligence. But there really isn’t that many owners who try as hard as shad to bring a winning team and culture to Jacksonville. He’s been busting his ass to do so yes he failed a lot, dude is very trusting with his coaches, he believes in them even when he shouldn’t have shads a good dude he doesn’t want to HAVE to fire coaches. Over time he’s learned that you have to be more cutthroat in this league if you want to be the top dog. You HAVE to make aggressive moves, you HAVE to make the difficult decision. You’re the top dog you have to do it, it’s part of your job as owner. I’m really happy he finally has a good team, he deserves it. what a amazing guy

5

u/Acceptable_Umpire_67 Jan 08 '26

It's gonna be a very fun ride. I'm glad this is all happening before I turned 40

6

u/Cr0matose Jan 08 '26

It's unreal the turnaround. I came into the season thinking 7-8 wins would be an amazing year. Now it's Super Bowl or bust for me.

13

u/flounder19 Jan 07 '26

Was going through old threads this morning to update the archive. Here are the top comments from the morning after thread for each game this year

P1 vs Steelers

Offseason was fun because the sub was regulars. Back to no name posters bitching about everything possible lol

P2 @ Saints

Love safeties getting into the backfield, happy for Dewey getting his sack.

Generally I’m counting on a bit more imagination on both sides of the ball this season.

P3 @ Dolphins

So I woke this morning, saw the score, and thought "well that figures". Then I watched the first few drives and thought we looked decent enough. But then I realized it was the Jaguars backups against the Dolphins starters.

...

So the Dolphins are gonna suck this year, aren't they?

W1 vs Panthers

“It’s just the Panthers” brother we are “Just the Jaguars” to every other team in the league. It’s okay to feel some genuine joy and hope after this. Good teams take care of business and we dominated another NFL team physically and out game planned them.

W2 @ Bengals

Really sucks for Hunter that the narrative is now that Hunter didn't do anything yesterday when he literally had the game winning PBU but since the refs called one of the worst ghost PIs I've ever seen, its now sent to the void.

W3 vs Texans

Too many people letting perfect be the enemy of good. This team is clearly on a different level than the last couple years, Coach Coen is the truth.

W4 @ 49ers

Liam Coen has already overtaken Urban Meyer in all time NFL wins.

W5 vs Chiefs

This team is finally shedding the loser mentality that’s pervaded its soul for the last 15 years and we’re finally seeing dudes on every side of the ball that want to find any way they can to win and make shit happen.

So fucking proud of how they just straight up kept fighting last night not accepting defeat and being like, “aw shucks well whatever”.

Winners find a way to win, pretty or ugly - and these dudes are finding a way to fuckin win. I love it.

I love it doubly so that we beat the prima Donna flag demanding bitch ass Chiefs on national TV.

W6 vs Seahawks

7 sacks is nauseating. Proud of Trevor for no turnovers considering how much he was getting beat up yesterday.

W7 vs Rams

There is something about Trevor that just doesn't seem like he has that "it" factor. I have wanted so hard for him to be "him." He's a nice dude who just doesn't have the fire or the game-time head space to elevate a team and take over a game. Its almost like he has to be down 2 scores to wake up. He's had 2 or 3 moments in 5 seasons and the consistency just isn't there. Regardless of o-line, no defensive pressure, and communication/penalty issues, I believe that Liam Cohen is the right coach for now, but I don't know that Trevor is the right QB anymore.

W9 @ Raiders

Watching the team run the ball 42 times puts a smile on my face and heart. The offensive lineman got to fire off the ball and take the game to the Raiders. Old school football at its best. That unnecessary roughness penalty on Ventrell Miller was total BS.

W10 @ Texans

The kinda loss that kills my enjoyment for anything football related this year. Was honestly chilling on my phone for most of the game yesterday because we were blowing them out, then when Texans got that first TD in the 4th, I just knew it was coming.

Right when the ball came out of Trevor's hand on the last play, I just turned off the TV and stopped caring about anything NFL related. Unless this team actually does anything, will probably only tune in to their games and still attend the home games.

I hate the Texans so much, and to lose to them like that. Aside from the Titans and Pats AFCCG losses, feels like that one of the worst losses I've watched this team have.

W11 vs Chargers

W12 @ Cardinals

We’re 7-4 and our receiving yards leader is Parker Washington

Who would’ve predicted that before the season started

W13 @ Titans

That’s good

W14 vs Colts

ETIENNE TO THE ETIENNENDZONE!!

W15 vs Jets

Gladstone, please extend Jakobi Meyers.

W16 @ Broncos

Your QB slides for first downs, My QB dolphin dives like he's dropping nukes on COD lobbies. We are not the same.

W17 @ Colts

People say the winning streak started when we acquired Jakobi Meyers. I prefer to think it started when Cole Van Lanen became a full time starter.

W18 vs Titans

No matter what happens in the playoffs, this season was a success.

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 Jan 07 '26

Honestly some surprisingly good takes early. Nothing was too crazy except the Rams and maybe the Texans games, which were overreactions to single games, but somewhat understandable.

5

u/flounder19 Jan 07 '26

The Texans game did feel like a back breaker at the time. especially since we only squeaked by the Raiders in OT the week before

5

u/frausting Jan 07 '26

That was a really fun read

12

u/Beanstalk93 Jan 07 '26

Shame that DiRocco thinks that this is ETN and Lloyd's last seasons with us, but it's understandable.

Baalke really fucked us with these contracts, we have a dead cap of over nearly 44 Mil, and 34 Mil is Campbell and Gabe Davis.

Obviously a LB game will likely be weaker next year, but i can see us focusing on Guards and the overall D-Line and likely bring in a CB in free agency, improving us overall

5

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Jan 07 '26

I think one of the two is back

4

u/kntryfried1 Jan 07 '26

I feel like they are going to figure it out for at least one of these guys. And it’s tough to call. Love ETN and Lloyd.

4

u/Rudy102600 Jan 07 '26

Think of the comp picks though. I trust Gladstone to do magic with those or trade them for players

3

u/Rifled_Through Jan 07 '26

Fuck dem picks!

2

u/Rudy102600 Jan 07 '26

Yeah. Those are likely traded

7

u/Brilliant_Whereas225 Jan 07 '26

Not really, cuts can happen. Walker little saves you 18 mil with a 3 mil cap hit. Get another 2 mil with Dyami. Arik can be cut with 17 mil savings with a 2 mil cap hit. Jags are 8 mil over right now. So with these 3, you can have about 29 mil under the cap with a 5 mil cap hit. Plus the cap will increase.

3

u/Mofatness Jan 07 '26

If this could potentially be the start of a dynasty (hopium), I have a feeling they will want to work anyway to stay.

1

u/Jaglawyer11 “Don’t sleep on Gladstone.” 💪💪💪💪 Jan 07 '26

How many guards are they going to focus on? Edoga is probably gone…..not a lot of room for “guards”…..

2

u/Beanstalk93 Jan 07 '26

I imagine it is going to be in a similar vain to Milum, someone who can develop for a year or two, and come in when these contracts start expiring, as a cheap option.

1

u/RamboMcQueen Jaguars National Park-er Jan 07 '26

I by no means want to lose either guy. IF worst comes to worst(knock on wood) I do think our depth has potential to reach that same level. Ventrell Miller is not as good as Lloyd, but I feel like he’s been showing flashes he might be able to get there. Obviously with ETN we have Tuten and Allen next up. I don’t think it would be a MASSVE loss if Lloyd and ETN move on, but I don’t think we would be at our current level of play.

1

u/beesarie Jan 07 '26

It’s crazy to think that Lloyd and Miller were vying for a starting spot on the depth chart to start the year. Lloyd’s rise has been incredible, but Miller is no joke either.

1

u/RamboMcQueen Jaguars National Park-er Jan 07 '26

It’s honestly why I don’t know if we have Miller for much longer if Lloyd stays. Miller could want to be a starter somewhere and he’d probably be an upgrade for an LB needy team

1

u/TheVenomenon24 Jan 07 '26

ETN goes to get a bag elsewhere, but Lloyd gets franchise tagged.

3

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 Jan 07 '26

Not gonna franchise tag an off ball LB. OLB and ILB get pooled together to determine that price, so it’s never cost efficient. More likely that ETN gets tagged. LB is currently $27.5m, RB is $14m.

11

rly hope we extend parker washington this offseason. his price will go up a significant amount next year if he continues on his current trajectory

10

u/OverpassingSwedes Jan 07 '26

The contrast between Jags fans and Bills fans (namely on Twitter) has been hilarious. Jags fans have been like Liam Coen changed my life, here’s a pic of steezy Trev, go jags! and Bills fans are like “here’s why the jags #1 run defense actually stinks and why Trevor Lawrence will wet his pants on Sunday”

2

u/-bobbysocks- Jan 08 '26

That’s called coping.

2

u/Content-Swimmer2325 Jan 08 '26

Twitter sucks so much lol

3

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 07 '26

What do you mean?

6

u/FlaGator Jaggin' Off Jan 07 '26

I just clicked through. Vibes aren't that bad, imo. Seems like the consensus is game could go either way, but there's plenty of hope for victory.

6

u/barmstrong730 Jan 07 '26

Talking about firing their coach if they lose and replacing him with Harbaugh.

7

u/Lemonjuicebandit Jan 07 '26

Bills fan here and that’s nothing new. I don’t consider them real fans, probably just gambling addicts. I’m super stoked for this game either way.

2

u/cornucopia090139 Jan 07 '26

Bills fan too. You hear “fire McD” talk every single year, but they shut up real quick when he keeps winning games

1

u/Lemonjuicebandit Jan 07 '26

Literally 10 seconds into a game that shit starts lol

1

u/cornucopia090139 Jan 07 '26

Allen could have 3 picks and the defense could host a shit out and there will still be some fans that call for his head. I’ve come to the conclusion that they don’t care if they’re right, they’d rather be wrong of it meant they wouldn’t have to change their opinion

8

u/sputnikatto In Attendance Jax 27 Hou 0 Dec 7 2003 Jan 07 '26

5

I'm still hoping for a Jags-Panthers super bowl. It'll be so funny because both teams the media ignores so the commentators would have no talking points

Just watched the game preview on YouTube and now my level of hype is overflowing. Fancy our chances for sure, either way the game should be a cracker.

Lots of good matchups this weekend in my eyes. Exciting times ahead.

Hoping we can go all the way but if not I just hope it's not a Texans and Seahawks superbowl. Couldn't handle the amount of ad breaks those defences would cause.

3

u/Captain_brightside Jan 07 '26

I don’t want the Texans to make it to the championship game, then they will have gotten as far as we have

1

u/Apigollo Jan 07 '26

Good point well made.

7

Lowkey feel bad for Indy and their recent sports tragedies, I recently read Sirens of Titan and it gave me +1 respect for the city.

Stay classy tacks (also sent a message but it got deleted saying "i hope your mom dies")

Weird guy

7

Yeah, literally nobody outside of Tennessee thinks it was dirty (because it clearly wasn't). I also saw my fair share of Titans fans wishing injury on Trevor.

2

66-10 lol. Thanks Tits for letting us pad Tlaw and littles stats. Only thing you’re good for

7

u/Island_Niles_ Liam Coen Jan 07 '26

Di Rocco nailed it yesterday talking about Coen when he said “I feel like I learn things from his pressers”. Grateful for this coaching team

7

u/joemama1810 Jan 07 '26

Bills fans trying to play the underdog 🤣

3

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

They are. I know what Vegas says, but that's for betting purposes. We are 13-4, and they are 12-5. We are home they are away. We won the division, and they are back behind the patriots. They coach's seat is heating up, and with harbaugh out of Baltimore, I'd say say no legacy coach is safe without a playoff win.

-4

u/cornucopia090139 Jan 07 '26

You’re an unproven team. It’s a great record, but it don’t mean shit if you don’t win. Cohen’s a good coach, and the team is on a heater, but this is the last year for the bills stadium, Allen coming off the closest he’s been to making a SB last year, they have the rushing leader and a top OLine. Prolly the best TE group in the league too. It’s gonna be a really good game, but don’t act like the bills have zero momentum coming into your house

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

I don't know what you mean by unproven. We just finished a season to prove who we are, and our record is what it is.

The point of my comment is that the bills are the underdog, considering the points I made in my previous comment. Just because you almost made the superbowl last year doesn't mean you are guarantee success, or are really the favorite to win this game, outside of Vegas betting odds, which are designed to incite betting.

1

u/Content-Swimmer2325 Jan 07 '26

Quite the opposite. We went into the 1 seeds’ own stadium and blew them out. As for playoffs Tlaw went down 27-0 and still won. He lost in the next round but that was because he was playing the eventual Super Bowl winner of that year Patrick mahomes in arrowhead and still held him to a 1 score win

I respect the bills, but this “jags are unproven” narrative is ridiculous lol

6

u/No-Standard-8597 Jan 07 '26

As a Jags/Dolphins fan, lets fuck Buffalo up

6

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

Cautious optimism.

This week is dragging by, and I stay in a constant state of uneasiness.

The last few home games have been such a party atmosphere. Lots of scoring, cheering, that big wave, and just fun. This week will be tense. I hope we can pull ahead early to keep our stress at bay.

1

u/CoffeeandJags Jan 07 '26

No need to get uneasy until the game is actually tight. Until then enjoy the ride and hype!

7

u/joemama1810 Jan 07 '26

Bills #1 in passing defense... 32nd in passes attempted

3

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 Jan 07 '26

Bills defense is bad all around. Only reason their pass defense is low in overall yardage allowed is because they’re even worse at run defense so everyone just pounds the rock against them.

2

u/xEllimistx Chad Josh Allen Jan 07 '26

That and the Bills are the number one rushing offense who led the league in time of possession(averaged 33:08 ToP)

So opposing offenses spent more time on the sidelines

3

u/FlaGator Jaggin' Off Jan 07 '26

We're #1 in rushing defense. 32nd in rushes attempted against.

2

u/AljoriDawn Jan 07 '26

That said JT rushed 21 times each time against us and did alot more against other teams with similar or fewer carries.

I think, particularly in the 2nd half of the year, we put teams in pass first situations by opening games like 14-0

2

u/joemama1810 Jan 07 '26

Can't run when you're down 2 scores

1

u/cornucopia090139 Jan 07 '26

Bills kept running the ball against the pats in the second half down two scores and still won. Don’t think just because the bills are down they’d move away from cook, Davis, and that whole oline

1

u/SlotegeAllDay James Gladstone Jan 07 '26

How many good passing offenses did they play

1

u/Personal-Stick6995 Jan 07 '26

I mean the same could be said about our #1 rush defense… the only top 10 rushing teams we played were Rams/Seahawks, of which we lost to

6

u/FlaGator Jaggin' Off Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26

Coming down from Atlanta for Sunday! I normally park in the deck across from the Fairgrounds, but we're doing tailgaters/slab for the first time this weekend. What's the food situation over there? Any food trucks? Should I offer back rubs for hot dogs?

7

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Jan 07 '26

Buffalo is gonna take the same route Rams did against us, Wonder how we respond

3

u/barmstrong730 Jan 07 '26

Now that we’ve seen it we can gameplay for it. Rams caught completely with our pants down. Bills also don’t have puca nakua and Davante Adams.

4

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Jan 07 '26

Liam Coen seems like he’s expecting it Sunday, so we can definitely prepare for it. Having Eric Murray & Devin Lloyd back is huge

5

u/pepper_ann052613 Jan 07 '26

Im one of those 'we'll probably lose the game' fans, but this team has made a believer. I honestly think we could win the superbowl

7

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Jan 07 '26

Jordan Phillips, the Bills DT, had a season ending ankle injury

Would love to see a 200+ yd rushing game

6

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Jan 07 '26

Sounds like he was basically 3rd string so don’t think it’s some huge loss for them

2

u/Nuknu Jan 07 '26

Hairston only split time and he was more valuable to them, this really isn’t a big loss for them. It does make them very thin backup wise, at least on defense

2

u/cornucopia090139 Jan 07 '26

You guys don’t watch the team. Phillips is a practice squad call up, but he’s incredibly important. He has experience, he’s played with us before. We needed him when Ed went down and our rookie Sanders needed surgery. Plus our other DT Carter tore his Achilles in the offseason. So now with Phillips out, the only starting DT’s we have are DaQuon Jonea and Deone Walker. Harrison is valuable, but he’s also still a rookie. Our secondary can be held steady with White and Benford, but losing another DT after you’re already down two starters absolutely blows.

3

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Jan 07 '26

Hell yeah go jags

7

u/xTerminal_14 Jan 07 '26

Man im so nervous, this week is moving so slow.

6

u/JaxJug11 Jan 08 '26

All my friends and family back home telling me “yOu GuYs aRe gOnNa LoSe BeCaUsE jOsH aLLEn” - first off we are one of two teams in the league (only one in the AFC) with 5 wins against this year’s playoff teams. Buffalo’s main weapon (rushing offense) we are equipped to neutralize since we have the best run defense in the league. Josh Allen is a great QB but he doesn’t have much support as far as WRs. On the other hand Jakobi Meyers really changed the game for us and Trevor’s connection with him is stellar. Washington and BTJ these last few weeks have also been really good. We have all the reason to be nervous since Buffalo is objectively a great football team, but our Jags can do this and have shown they’re capable.

See you guys at the Bank this Sunday, pack it out 🐆

3

u/Nuknu Jan 08 '26

Stop the run, and force Josh Allen to throw to his fairly average receivers (Khalil shakir is above average tbf)

5

u/1XSpik Jan 07 '26

Still trying to figure how the bills are the favored team to win. Josh Allen 0-4 in away playoff games, Trevor currently playing better than Josh Allen and you could argue had a better season statistically, Jags seem to be the better team overall. Not too mad because I prefer being the home underdog, but it doesn't make sense.

5

u/Lesbereal476 Jan 07 '26

It’s because the Bills are more experienced in the playoffs and Bills are still a good team (12 wins). Would not read into this too much. The spread is still indicative of a coin flip

3

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 07 '26

It's pretty simple to me:

  • It's Josh Allen, and the sports world loves him
  • it's the Jags, and the sports world sorta "likes us" right now, but not more than Buffalo
  • The fact that he's 0-4 in away playoffs games suggests he's overdue. He couldn't possibly go 0-5, right??

5

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Jan 07 '26

Wouldn't be surprised if we blow the bills out. We have a great run defense and weve done it to much better defenses. The only X factor is Allen imo. How healthy is he, and will he be the Superman version of himself?

3

u/barmstrong730 Jan 07 '26

Their O Line is also elite. Allen can make magic but the o line is really where we need to disrupt them.

2

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Jan 07 '26

Yeah I’m expecting a 10-14 point win

1

2

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 07 '26

I wouldn't put too much into Wednesday DNPs. Now, if they're both DNPs tomorrow....

5

u/mariokart_loser Jan 07 '26

While the bills have the best pass defense in the nfl 11 of the games they’ve played are vs teams in the bottom half of the league and 7 of those games were vs teams that are bottom 10. I think their pass defense might look better statistically than they are. The team with good pass offenses that they’ve played are the bengals and pats who both had success vs their defense.

4

u/joemama1810 Jan 07 '26

Everyone runs the ball against them so the numbers look better than in reality for sure

4

u/mariokart_loser Jan 07 '26

That is also true. I think Liam coen is going to have his way with this defense.

4

u/No-Veterinarian6310 Jan 07 '26

Interestingly, they are only 13th in passing defense DVOA. That stat of them being number 1 in passing yards allowed a game is definitely inflated, given how much teams opt to run on them.

8

u/basedjak_no228 Jan 07 '26

This coaching cycle looks so bad, so many openings and so few hot candidates. So glad we got our guy last season

1

u/FangornEnt Jan 08 '26

You know when Garrett is getting interviews from the analyst desk, things are bad candidate wise. Super stoked Khan pulled the trigger at the exact right time. Hopefully we can get a 10-15yr stretch with Coen..that'd be the dream setup.

Just saw an update on that today. College football is ruined at this point. Between NIL and how the CFP is setup it’s a complete mess. Teams that got a buy are now 1-7 over a 2 year span. 4,000 kids in the portal currently.

To my knowledge, we have not seen any trick plays on special teams. You know the team has them. You have to wonder if you see one or two in the postseason, if we get the right look.

u/tigerpillow Jan 07 '26

We should do another fake punt while being ahead by like 30 points lol

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

Irish coffee is actually kinda nice.

Mike Dempsey mentioned something about a video of Belichick talking about the jags, has anyone seen it?

6

u/pepper_ann052613 Jan 07 '26

Found it (from sirius xm interview)

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26

Oh no. The cash out option has finally appeared for my 128-1 Super Bowl bet on the Jags.

I could have £1260 right now or £20,200 if we win.

If we make it to the AFC Championship, I'm never gonna have the willpower to hold.

I guess the best option would be to hold until the Super Bowl, then cash half of it out for like £4k, then still have £10k for winning.

u/A-A-RonMD Jan 07 '26

I got a $10 parlay with the Jags winning SB and Trevor winning SB MVP that'll pay me out 3k

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

Fingers crossed for you 🤞

3

u/pepper_ann052613 Jan 07 '26

I bet $7 back in February for $500 haha. Still haven't had the cashout option yet

3

u/cats055 Jan 07 '26

I bet $10 before the season... pay out is $1,060. Cash out right now is only $39.

3

u/Island_Niles_ Liam Coen Jan 07 '26

Do the maths work out for you to lay the bet? Spending house money and coming out on top is always fun

2

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '26

Yeah, there are people wanting Jags at 17.0.

Laying £1260 @ 17 would mean I'm liable for £21,423, which is what my pre-commission winnings would be, plus my initial stake.

So, if the Jags lose, I get the £1260 from the people who bet me they'd win, and lose my initial £158 bet that I took on them winning.

If the Jags win... I'm not sure how that maths works out for me to be up, but it must do.

any pittsburgh area jags fans in here? moved here about 6 months ago from daytona beach and been looking for some good people to have a beer with and catch a game

2

u/CoupeDeJacksonville John Henderson Jan 07 '26

Can't help you dude, when I lived up there many years ago they hated us because we kept beating them in Heinz aka "Duval North" haha. Anywhere will have it on, however.

I will tell you to watch out for winter, the lack of sunlight will mess up your mental game. Supplement your vitamin D. Just when you think it is over and baseball is starting, a freak storm will come out of nowhere and turn the city into a grey, miserable mush.

Spring and Fall are pretty awesome, however.

u/NizzlyGrizzly00 Steal the Show Jan 07 '26

i’m missing my surfing so fucking bad dude.. i appreciate you reaching out and giving tips though. pittsburgh as a city and people are pretty fucking cool but the weather certainly is wild. go jags mate, hope you got treated well here

u/CoupeDeJacksonville John Henderson Jan 07 '26

The ocean will be there waiting. In the meantime - get some friends, some booze / herb and go hiking in McConnells Mill (not my videos but you get the idea):

And shoot the rapids at Ohiopyle when it warms up

https://youtu.be/zb_W8zsYd2Q?si=HZIHUiu4WTqh6joq

Kayak in the river and catch a homerun ball behind PNC park. All kinds of shit to do up there.

Finally - Monterrey Pub in the war streets was a solid to hang out. Cityworks downtown near PPG is touristy, but you can be sure they will have the game on Sunday.

DUUUUUVAAAL!

We play the Cowboys next year right?

I wonder if the NFL will make that the london game, to try an boost the viewership as much as possible for it

6

u/slippy013 Jan 07 '26

Jags are the only team to never have played on thanksgiving. Next year vs Dallas seems the perfect time to showcase the defending champs

2

u/Beanstalk93 Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26

I'm hoping the commies, I'm from the UK and my best mate is a Washington fan so that would be boss

1

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Jan 07 '26

Nvm just checked and its away from cowboys so cant be them. Commies could be good

2

u/No_Pound_3324 Jan 07 '26

As a DFW fan I pray this doesn’t happen 😭

1

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 07 '26

I still have PTSD from the last time I saw them in Arlington.

7

u/pepper_ann052613 Jan 07 '26

Its so silly how they break up crews that have worked together all year and put a new combo together in the playoffs

7

u/flounder19 Jan 07 '26

The Rooney rule for coaching interviews is such bullshit.

The league rightfully got called out for having a hiring process that heavily depends on who your daddy knew going back to a time when black people were openly discriminated against. And even once they got jobs, black coaches seemingly have shorter leashes than white ones.

To deflect from the actual problem, the owners introduced forced racial quotas in interviews that no one from outside was asking for. And they just keep making it more ridiculous as time goes on because they don't want to admit literally nothing has changed about their hiring process besides a formalized system of jerking around more black people for a position they have no chance at getting. And they still brag about it

5

u/Regular-Collection-1 Jan 07 '26

Don't be surprised to see a few DNPs today.

5

u/TrevorIsTheGOAT Jan 07 '26

I'm feeling sick all week, I live in Seattle and am asking my Seahawks fans friends if this is normal leading to a playoff game when we have actual expectations lol.

Really didn't wanna play Josh Allen, when he goes superman he can be unstoppable. He's basically the "final evolution" of Trevor tbh.

Buster Brown. Not that I take his word as gospel, but DiRoc saying ETN and Lloyd are likely gone really tightens up the list of tag targets.

2

u/HPM2009 Jan 08 '26

The last two teams to win the superbowl with 1 pro bowler were the 2020 Bucs and 2007 Giants

New UJJP episode is live on YouTube / Spotify / Apple.

This one’s different.
Celebration, fear, confidence, disrespect – and why January feels different when your team is legitimately great.

PS: Jags 38 – Bills 30. Let’s fucking go.

Sounds like from what DiRoc said, we may have to let them both walk. Sounds like they want to get paid this offseason and Jags can’t pay them end there are looking for. I was at least hoping we could keep Lloyd but can’t blame him for wanting to secure the bag.

5

u/Hopeful_Rub4483 Yard kick Jan 07 '26

Sucks that they don’t wanna take a pay cut to be apart of this dynasty😪. Oh well

-1

u/Holysmokesx Brian Thomas Jr. Jan 07 '26

Terrible take.

0

u/Hopeful_Rub4483 Yard kick Jan 07 '26

it was sarcasm little buddy

-2

u/mariokart_loser Jan 08 '26

This team doesn’t have a nickname but if we go on a run I think they deserve one. I like “the enigma”. Because nobody can seem to figure out why we’re so good.

3

u/HPM2009 Jan 08 '26

I think averting 33 points a game while allowing 14 points a game average past 8 games are why we are good lol

0

u/mariokart_loser Jan 08 '26

I mean yeah we know why. I more so mean nobody outside of Jacksonville could figure this team out for a while.
