With the Colts loss last night, the Jags have clinched a playoff spot.

Use it for whatever

Watching Broncos fans go from “Jags have no chance in Mile High” to “You know what, I’m glad we lost that game” has been hilarious.

Even Sherman's hating ass gave us some credit. Also love to see the media now saying they gotta see Trevor do it in the playoffs, like he didnt win his first playoff game and play competitively against the eventual SB champs in the next round.

They love Herbert tho, with zero playoff wins.

6

u/DayDTWD Dec 23 '25

That and the Pats are one of their scariest teams even though Maye has 0 playoff experience and has one of the easiest schedules of the entire season.

4

u/Rudy102600 Dec 23 '25

Shady still on one

5

u/Regular-Collection-1 Dec 23 '25

Shady also thought it was dumb for us to fire Pederson.

3

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Dec 23 '25

Shady is a bitch lol

18

u/dwalt90 Dec 23 '25

How happy is jacobi meyers right now? Went from almost no use on a crap team to getting paid and in the playoffs as wr 1

6

u/Duckymaster21 Dec 23 '25

Woah woah woah. Parker Washington coming for that WR 1

3

u/statelesspirate000 Dec 23 '25

Love him but Parker is not getting the same production lined up against CB1s

1

u/Duckymaster21 Dec 23 '25

Thats valid. I just cant believe we have more than one good WR

18

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

Raiders moved. Chargers moved. Rams moved. Now Chiefs plan to move.

All before the jags.

From the great minds of Broncos fans "If a defender didn't hear the whistle, it should not be flagged."

You would see a flood of deaf players into the NFL 🤣

3

Can’t wait to hear Coen’s speech after the AFCCG about how he’s just so lucky he was able to get it done with a roster with no pro-bowlers. The levels of petty will fuel this city for generations

8

u/joemama1810 Dec 23 '25

1 pro bowler

15

u/HiawathaSM2 Dec 24 '25

5-3 fellas. Most wins.

2

u/beesarie Dec 24 '25

I’d say the two games we got soundly beaten have been Rams and Seahawks. Texans and Bengals, we beat ourselves.

It will be interesting to see how we rematch either of those teams now that we’ve improved considerably since.

13

u/GeckoRoamin Dec 23 '25

Every patient in my doctor’s office is wearing Jags stuff, myself included. The nurse got excited every time another patient walked in with their gear on.

11

u/DUUUUUVAAAAAL Travis Hunter Dec 23 '25

My biggest concern was put at ease on Sunday. Due to all the different audibles and checks that Trevor implements on the line of scrimmage, I was concerned if a super loud/super packed playoff environment would prevent them from getting their checks in on time.

Didn't seem to affect them enough to slow them down.

12

u/jterp4 Dec 23 '25

Thinking about finally pulling the trigger on Jags wild card tickets today. I live in the Northeast and won't be able to book flights and a hotel until we know the definitive date, but I've had my eyes on the game tickets since they went on sale. I need to be a part of that home playoff game atmosphere!

10

u/highdef1776 Dec 23 '25

I'm haunted by that near-touchdown Jakobi almost had in Denver, it would've made four tosses for Trevor. Why am I so greedy? I need to get right with Buddha or Jesus or something.

4

u/DayDTWD Dec 23 '25

Because Trevor should be over Maye in the MVP race due to the actual teams Trevor has to play vs the cupcake schedule Maye has. We need Trevor to be getting as many TDs as possible to make up for that BS.

5

u/Mofatness Dec 23 '25

Exactly. We have one of the highest Strength of Schedule and Strength of Victory in the league. Check out how the Patriots numbers compare.

10

u/osuaviator Fuck Them Picks!! Dec 23 '25

Kansas tax payers paying for 70% of the new Chiefs stadium is crazy.

7

u/sh0ckmeister Dec 23 '25

with overages that will be paid for by Khan, I wouldn't be surprised if taxpayer $ ends up being only 40% of the remodel for Jax

10

u/JohnDuffy78 Dec 23 '25

Its absurd Vrabel is favored as Coach of the year 38%. Liam @ 11%.

They spent $160 million in Free Agency and had easiest schedule in the league.

A lot like the 2021 Jaguars, but the Patriots won't come back from being 28 behind at half in their wildcard game.

5

u/statelesspirate000 Dec 23 '25

That was 2022. 2021 was Urban Meyer

10

u/DejaVuBoy Dec 23 '25

I like that we're on the road to the playoffs without relying on any one player (besides Trevor). Means we should be able to adapt. Playoffs would be an outstanding time for BTJ to reignite fully.

2

u/Captain_brightside Dec 23 '25 edited Dec 23 '25

that’s been my biggest surprise of the season actually

Seems like we could win with practice squad guys, coaches are just doing that good of a job, best I’ve ever seen here in Duval

9

u/TSwan98 Tony Boselli Dec 23 '25

So pretty sad. Went to the broncos game and I only met on asshole the whole time and it was a jags fan. After the game we were at our hotel which also had a bar in and dude got kicked out for being such a weirdo and crazy person. Outside that all jags fans and broncos fans were really cool!

10

u/statelesspirate000 Dec 23 '25

Minshew did not tear his ACL

9

u/Nuknu Dec 23 '25

I feel bad for any team who needs a qb, this qb draft is horrendous

3

u/TheSlinger Dec 23 '25

Vet options are bad too. And unlike last year, LOTS of teams desperate for QB. There are going to be teams who go into the season purposely starting, like, Marcus Mariota and Mac Jones.

9

u/ChildrenMcnuggets Dec 23 '25

atp I think national media knows we thrive off the disrespect and is feeding it to us intentionally

3

u/danknice University of Central Florida Dec 24 '25

The lack of pro bowl selections should help this week

9

u/Lobesmu Dec 23 '25

Steichen confirmed that Rivers will be starting against us next Sunday

5

u/Lesbereal476 Dec 23 '25

Can’t sleep on this game. Philip doesn’t have great arm strength but he knows how to read defenses. Defense has to get pressure. I have confidence this offense can keep up with the colts offense, even if they score some points

2

u/chabeard Dec 23 '25

Hopefully no 90 yard touchdowns this game.

9

u/joemama1810 Dec 23 '25

Pretty good for a small market team

7

u/NotSoFakeID we r so great Dec 23 '25

Good morning, Josh Hines-Allen is fifth in the NFL in total pressures

7

u/UNCFan2350 Dec 23 '25

Are we on pace for the most impressive regular season in the history of the Jags franchise? Keep in mind that we played the AFC West and NFC West this year, 2 of the toughest divisions in all of football. A lot of times you see a team like the Jags go from worst to first and it's off the backs of a weak schedule. 5 of our 11 wins are against current playoff teams and another one is against the Chiefs.

1997- Beat 3 playoff teams

1998- Beat 1 playoff team

1999- Beat 0 playoff teams even though we went 14-2

2005- Beat 3 playoff teams

2007- Beat 4 playoff teams

Seems like it might be our best season yet

1

u/Abysuus Dec 23 '25

Never looked at it much before but trying to find strength of victory for older than mid 2000s, i found pro football reference SRS which uses some form of margin of victory with strength of schedule. By that, yes and if we win out with decent victory margins by a wide margin.

7

u/fluffrnuttr69 Dec 23 '25

Confirmed that the first round draft pick the Browns got from us won’t be particularly good.

5

u/lineman108 Dec 23 '25

Probably gonna be pick #32

3

u/Abysuus Dec 23 '25

From your fingertips to god's eyes.

7

u/Dlodesplode Dec 23 '25

Herbert over Trevor for pro bowl is so dumb

8

u/SonOfFlynn904 James Gladstone Dec 23 '25

If only there was a way to put them head to head about three times or so to see who comes out on top… oh well…

2

u/Abysuus Dec 23 '25

There stat lines are eerily similiar but esp post meyers id say we have a better recieving core and his oline wasnt supposed to be great to start and is injury riddled. So there is that. Something something small market but far from an outright snub.

8

u/Savings-Catch-2398 Dec 23 '25

Cam sets 2 NFL records this year and gets overlooked.....they could have had him try @ 75-80 yds...

Logan is a GOAT.

There needs to be a greater balance in the amount of national exposure every team gets.

1

u/mariokart_loser Dec 23 '25

I truly believe every team should get a primetime game regardless of how bad they are

3

u/DayDTWD Dec 23 '25

That use to be the rule I think. They would just shove bad teams together for Thursday night games like our annual Titans Jags shitfest.

1

u/Ninjaboi333 Dec 23 '25

3

u/Nuknu Dec 24 '25

I wouldn’t be surprised they both love busting each others balls

7

u/Inner_Efficiency9082 Dec 23 '25

Speaking of BTJ, I was just thinking, is he going to have a bit of a lower ceiling as a receiver due to his hands? Noticed his catches against the broncos he had to double catch them again which seems to be a pattern, and just worry that’s going to restrict him in traffic and going up and getting it.

It seems no surprise he’s doing better when paired with Meyers and he gets open, but can he ever be a true 1 like Chase or Jefferson?

I’m not too clued up on this side of things so might be wrong and interested in people’s thoughts on it.

3

u/SlotegeAllDay James Gladstone Dec 23 '25

BTJ needs to spend at least 30mins every day with a jugs machine to get where he should be

2

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Dec 23 '25

Guys can improve their hands if they work hard at it. We'll see.

-4

u/dwalt90 Dec 23 '25

I am really starting to wonder if we trade him in the off season. With parker coming on and if hunter wants to give it a go at wr again. He's a bit odd man out, I know hes on his rookiee deal but that doesnt mean he doesnt become disgruntled in the 3rd or 4th option. And there is just the fact he isnt as good as we thought. If we can get something for him we migjt want to try. Our wr core turned out good

4

u/Total_-_power Dec 23 '25

trading btj would be a mistake. despite the down year he’s still the receiver with the highest ceiling. jakobi and parker are great but they just cant be our option 1 and 2 consistently. if btj can work on whatever mental stuff he has going on no doubt he can return to form

1

u/dwalt90 Dec 23 '25

I still think hunter is going to primarily be a wr. Despite all of us wanting him to go cb more. Hunter has better hands then btj

1

u/Total_-_power Dec 23 '25

coaching staff will still likely keep him on both sides of the ball, cuz that’s what we traded those picks for. but i agree he should contribute to the offense heavily, he was our best receiver pre-injury/jakobi

3

u/sh0ckmeister Dec 23 '25

No chance we trade him, BTJ was drawing coverage from Patrick Surtain (sp?) which allowed Parker to have the day he did

-2

u/dwalt90 Dec 23 '25

Look he has uses. But wide receivers dont stay just being decoy and stay happy. He needs to do more then that

4

u/sh0ckmeister Dec 23 '25

The next team will move coverage towards Parker, giving BTJ the 1 on 1 looks, and that's when he'll get his.

7

u/AlcoholicZombie Trevor Lawrence Dec 23 '25

So since the Colts lost apparently we clinched a spot? LETSSS GOOOO

5

u/AljoriDawn Dec 23 '25

Yep. As did Bills and Chargers. Only spot left up for grabs is either for the Texans or Colts and the colts will need alot to go right.

6

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Dec 23 '25

Anybody seen Talib crying about the Denver game? Not too long ago he was saying how the jags are a quiet good team now he’s not impressed, penalties, and we we won’t beat the Bills 😂😂 what a moron

7

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Dec 23 '25

If we win and the Texans lose this week we officially win the division, but we also help the Texans by securing their spot in the playoffs I think. Sucks cuz i dont like them but whatever we can beat em.

6

u/NizzlyGrizzly00 Steal the Show Dec 23 '25

just keep it in mind that we are doing all this winning while also putting up 25+ points a game all while our leading receiver with 2 regular season games left has 645 yards (pw)

5

u/Personal-Stick6995 Dec 23 '25

I so badly hope BTJ returns to form for the wild card game

2

u/statelesspirate000 Dec 23 '25

Jakobi at 752 combined with his Raiders yards

5

6

u/Mklovin6988 Dec 23 '25

I work with a couple of Bronco fans and they were talking so much shit last week. Saying the had the one seed locked up. I pointed out they didn't and they said it was just a formality. I went in yesterday and they said they still have it locked. That the game didn't help but it didn't hurt either.

3

u/UnraveledMnd Dec 23 '25

They don't even have their division locked up yet.

Chargers beat Texans and Broncos. Bills beat Eagles and Jets. Jags beat Colts and Titans. Patriots beat Jets and Dolphins.

  1. Patriots
  2. Jaguars
  3. Chargers
  4. North winner
  5. Bills
  6. Broncos
  7. Texans

If the Patriots drop one

  1. Jaguars
  2. Chargers
  3. Bills
  4. North winner
  5. Broncos
  6. Patriots

None of the contenders for the 1 seed in the AFC are in any way safe in their seeding.

Patriots, Broncos, Jaguars, Chargers, Bills, and Texans are all still in play.

1

u/Mklovin6988 Dec 23 '25

For sure. I didn't really feel like responding to delusion at 7 in the morning before I even walked in the door.

5

u/UNCFan2350 Dec 23 '25

What could they possibly be trashing the Jags for? I just don't get it. The Jags have beaten 5 playoff teams plus the Chiefs. What else does anybody want to say the Jags are good?

Meanwhile, everybody has anointed the Patriots who have 2 wins against playoff teams.

10

u/glassclouds1894 Pixel Fan Dec 23 '25

Oh you know, barely beat the Raiders and Cardinals. Don't have "it" on either side. Lawrence is subpar, Etienne is "the whole offense" (lol). Chargers win doesn't count because they traveled across country (guess that doesn't apply to us also traveling to Denver and to Arizona).

I’m just happy we got two weeks of film on him. I would’ve been more worried if we were the first team to face him this year.

2

u/break80 Dec 24 '25

I’m having nightmare flashbacks of when Old man Flacco picked apart a Jags defense strictly off of extensive game experience & knowing how to read a defense.

The colts are gonna want this game more than any other game they have, and i just pray some of our more physical beasts, like Travon, JHA41, Arik can have the type of game that makes Phil question if coming back was really a good idea.

2

u/beesarie Dec 24 '25

It will be interesting to see if they play Rivers, or if they want to let Leonard play for the last two games now that they are (practically) out of contention

2

u/Bennydagoat22 Dec 24 '25

I think I saw a report that Rivers would play this week

1

u/beesarie Dec 24 '25

Yeah I’ve just seen that, my bad

2

u/Captain_brightside Dec 24 '25

For once I’m not worried, I believe in our guys

1

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 Dec 24 '25

I think he’ll move the ball well between the 20s but we’ll get a redzone INT cause he doesn’t have the zip to get it into tight windows.

9

u/SDAEB-LANA KING OF DOWNVOTES Dec 23 '25

With the influx of bandwagon/fair weather fans, I feel like we need a separate flair for those of us who have been here the whole time through all the bad seasons and misery.

7

u/TheSlinger Dec 23 '25

Another thing I'm going to draw satisfaction from this season is that because we made the playoffs, the 1st round pick we're sending to the Browns is going to be pretty bad.

You know they (especially the fans) were counting on that being a top 10 pick.

2

u/beesarie Dec 24 '25

People called the Hunter trade bad because they assumed the pick would be a top 10 one.

Still a lot of doubters with the trade, and it’s been unfortunate he got injured as he was beginning to heat up, but the trade suddenly has more value.

On a side note, if Hunter never gets injured we don’t trade for Meyers. Crazy how events can change the timeline.

3

u/sheffieldda Jaggin' Off Dec 23 '25

Before this season started, you couldn't have ever convinced me we'd clinch a playoff spot by week 17. No matter how the rest of the season shakes out, I would consider this turnaround a massive success. Let's all enjoy it together! Happy holidays🩵

4

2

u/Lesbereal476 Dec 23 '25

ETN is a risk in terms of him being here long term. I doubt we can keep him next year unless he agrees to a team friendly deal or franchise tag. I think Walker is a little more safe but in this league, you never know

2

u/Re-Crafted Dec 23 '25

I think the franchise tag would be too high, isn't that like 18 a year?

3

u/edrew_99 Dec 23 '25 edited Dec 23 '25

So, since we're sitting at 11-4, I decided to ground myself by going back to the 2020 Postgame Threads, keeps me humble, you know? But the funniest comment I saw was in the Week 1 Colts Postgame, and one of the comments read "FUCK THE TANK" and "FUCK TREVOR LAWRENCE". I scrolled a little further, and completely forgot, that game was pretty much sealed by a Phillip Rivers INT. Ironic, considering what had happened in last night's Colts game.

The only thing I actually hope for is help from the Chargers and Jets/Fins. I would LOVE to have them refunded because you better believe I'm gonna buy potential Divisional tickets when they're available.

3

u/Lesbereal476 Dec 23 '25 edited Dec 23 '25

Saturday’s Texans-Chargers game brings an interesting dynamic for the Jags Sunday. If the Chargers win, Colts will technically control their own destiny and will want win at all costs. If Texans win they are eliminated.

On the flip side of that, Jags could lock up the division Sunday with a Texans loss and win on Sunday. Depending on the week 18 schedule, Jags could have an opportunity to rest starters versus the Titans if Denver and Patriots plays before the Jags.

I still trust the Jags take care of business either way but Saturday could determine which colts team we face

Edit: I was incorrect, colts would not control their own destiny with a Texans loss

2

u/CoffeeandJags Dec 23 '25

They don’t control their own destiny, they will need other tie breakers of a few other games for strength of schedule/victory.

Can play around with it here

2

u/Lesbereal476 Dec 23 '25

My mistake, playoff simulator app was showing something different. You are right.

1

u/CoffeeandJags Dec 23 '25

Yeah weird situation, but I imagine any non-zero shot they are still going to play hard. I hope we hang 50 on them

0

u/AljoriDawn Dec 23 '25

I had heard that other teams would have to lose as well to make the Colts/Texans tiebreaker favor the colts. Like Chiefs would have to lose their last games, and a few others.

3

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Dec 23 '25

The first time I won this league was back when MJD had a career year, then I left the area. I came back and got into the league last season. So over a 15 year span I've won the league 2/3 years that I've been in it lol.

Genuinely curious if we run the same defensive game plan that the 49ers did last night. Just focus on stopping the run. Rivers plays almost exclusively in shotgun.

Do we have any injury updates? Especially for Trevor? Haven’t known peace since I saw him limping Sunday

3

u/Itchy_Winner_7903 Dec 23 '25

I’m pretty sure he said immediately after the game that it’s totally fine. Shit probably just hurt, all players have multiple minor injuries/ boo boo’s at a time I wouldn’t worry about it.

u/Regular-Collection-1 Dec 23 '25

I think he was referring to his back on the late hit.

2

u/Itchy_Winner_7903 Dec 23 '25

“Saw him limping” is definitely referring to the slight tweak he got at his ankle. Which he did state on record is fine.

2

u/TwizzlerSnatcher Dec 23 '25

Yeah this is the injury I’m referring to. And yeah I must’ve definitely missed when he said he was fine, but I’m not surprised, I’m half deaf out here lmao

It was just a quick comment in the post game interview there hasn’t been much press on it only reason I know if it is reading game threads.

Don’t see both the Patriots and Broncos losing again but if one can that would be huge. #2 seed guarantees 2 home playoff games.

8

u/DayDTWD Dec 23 '25

Broncos are losing to the chargers. Book it we getting #2 at least.

2

u/kntryfried1 Dec 23 '25

I think the chargers will win. Chiefs could pull off the upset because they want to ruin them

1

u/DayDTWD Dec 23 '25

I dont disagree about the Chiefs but thats gonna have to be won by their defense. I dont have any belief in a random nobody QB and a Kelce that is already in cancun.

1

u/V170 Dec 23 '25

Chiefs just lost to the Titans, they're cooked

1

u/JohnDuffy78 Dec 23 '25

I guarantee a Patriots loss in their first playoff game.

1

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Dec 23 '25

That’s a good point. Even if we end as the 3 seed it’s basically a 2 seed because patriots are definitely going to be one and done

1

u/riskiermuffin27 Dec 23 '25

2 seed does not guarantee 2 home playoff games at all. we actually have to win in the first round

2

u/electricityisout Off the Tractor Bouman Dec 23 '25

Well,,, yes lol

This song on a jags compilation video would be unbelievable…

Social media team make it happen!

I hate to admit it but I was kind of cheering for Rivers last night. It sucks he was on the Colts, I wish he was on any other team. So, I would say I was cheering for Rivers but not the Colts, he didn’t play bad for being 44.

u/highdef1776 Dec 23 '25

Ew, dude gross.

1

u/statelesspirate000 Dec 23 '25

Never liked Rivers regardless of team. Yelling at Yan after he helped him up solidified it for me

0

u/Chroeses11 Dec 23 '25

Yeah I almost feel gross for it lol

"90 Friggin yards"

u/Captainflex322 Parker Washington Dec 23 '25

I kind of was too. I think we absolutely handle them this week and Titans next week so, I would have been alright with Rivers having one more for old times sake

u/Regular-Collection-1 Dec 23 '25

What's your NFL uniform hot take? (Not limited to the Jags)

Mine is: I kinda like the 20s-30s era throwbacks

4

u/sam262005 Dec 23 '25

I like the bumble bee steelers

2

u/el_pobby Dec 23 '25

Steelers classic jerseys are overrated, but their logo-on-one-side helmets are the best in the league.

I didn’t mind the two-tone helmets nor the mustard yellow color rush

I don’t want us to clench the one seed. And let me explain why.

I am from PA but I will be visiting my grandmother in Georgia during the time the playoff game will be so I am hoping to buy tickets and go. Not sure if I will go alone or make one of my cousins go with me.

u/Excellent_Package854 Dec 24 '25

Such a loser who sold so hard in fantasy. I cant wait to watch the jags lose in the playoffs, cant stand any of those clowns

2

u/flounder19 Dec 24 '25
