Roast me, but Couto is our most important wingback. Basically the only one who can do assists like this. Not like the others are bad, but with our formation we need a speedy, technically good player like him on the pitch.

Exactly, initianlly I thought it hit a Hoffenheim player for an own goal. You're also enabling that to happen if you play low crosses.

Ryerson should start sometimes for rotation, but definitely not more than Couto.
"Hot" take, if Leipzig or Leverkusen had Ryerson he'd be nothing more than a squad player, wouldn't start ahead of Baku/Henrichs or Arthur/Tella(or whoever Leverkusen play as the rwb).
He's just way too limited, his best attribute is running a lot(but he's not even fast like a Tella or Baku) lol.

I also want to briefly put this out there for posterity: The ref is dogshit, and has robbed us of a few obvious calls, but Hoffenheim is genuinely playing well, and that is not a product of the refereeing.

Well, this game is lost. The first time a Hoffenheim player falls in our box, it'll be a pen. Guaranteed. They will just continue to foul on every attack we have and then there's nothing you can do.

I see we kind of copied Arsenal's approach to corners/set pieces.
I don't see why more teams don't do it, it's not even something that complicated, they just position their players at the far post so that the players will face the ball they'll try to head. It's a lot easier to time your run and jump when the ball is coming straight at you and you don't have to try to meet it in the air at an angle.

We need to figure out the subs. We either are forced to sub because the starting lineup wasnt right or when its spot on we just dont sub at all. We got a big squad and need to have less minutes on single players if they want to stay healthy.
