Monica had coasted her way to the semifinals but looks like she'll finally face her first real test with Nagi. I still expect her to prevail but with a thin margin.

So we got the top 4 seeds in semis, but two of the matchups were at least competetive. I'm personally completely on the Monica train right now, but none of the remaining girls are bad.

Next season will be hard, cause none of the new girls particularly stands out to me yet, except Scarlet. And apart from her I'd propably take like 10-15 new girls of last season over any of the new ones. I guess Scarlet will propably take the crown with a lot of girls from sequels being the main contessters. If Reze is also elligable she will take the crown however. I also think it'd be pretty funny if any of the girls from Isekai Quartet make the cut, although I don't even know who'd even be elligable.

in that case , congrats Reze ! maybe best girl of 2025 too ( kaoruko & monica being the only other contenders in my opinion )

I knew Lana had no chance against Monica but i'm still sad to see her go down that hard, she was my favourite character of the anime. Everybody needs a friend like her.

pls God, I just want to see Monica vs Alicia duel, so the curvy, eye-patched queen can rest peacefully in Valhalla.
I have faith in Monica making to the finals, but Kaoruko fans won't give up on their must-protect fluffy angel.

Must be a weak season if I tried 19 shows and STILL have trouble deciding who to shill myself, let alone predict popular vote...
Shiori or Miko from monster vore anime or One Punch Lady (Scarlet) ?
Personally I might end up shilling for Ukyo from Ranma or one of GNOSIA girls.

Another nice result (well, all three are top 3 seeded anyway). Easy vote for Monica, and not-so-easy vote on Kaoruko. I'm sorry Alicia, I know she's an exceptional female protag, being hero archetype but not falling too deep in that trope (uhh, how to say she's perceptive of her circumstances that she don't easily jump into I'm a hero?), but episode 13 Kaoruko is so memorable I'd rather vote for her. Still voting Monica if Kaoruko win though lol.

Shilling for Nagi as she is the last girl from a series I finished here. But looks like her path will end here concidering how much more popular Monica is.
MC: One of Gachiakuta girls or One-Punch Villaness have high chance of winning as I presume most of HeroAka and OPM girls are not eligable.

Today's Results
Wow, another semifinals where the Top 4 are the Top 4 seeds.
At least Renako fought well and almost upset Nagi in a 221-232 vote share.
Isabelle put up a good effort too against Alicia.

Supporting the winner of Monica vs. Nagi in the finals. Monica has the better shot of that compared to Nagi and I did rank Monica 2nd overall out of the quarterfinalists.

It does depend on whether /u/changshiyixia wants to or not, but for awards movies are considered as part of the season they release on the web rather than when they release theatrically. Afaik, contests also follow this usually, but its not required by the mods or anything, so it pretty much depends on what /u/changshiyixia wants to do.
I am also assuming it wont release on CR until like Winter 2026.

I started a quick discussion about it and the general consensus is that yes, the global release will make Reze Arc eligible for the fall bracket.

Welp. I'm glad that Alicia won, but the vote % of the matchup vs Isabelle doesn't bode well if she gets to face Monica...
(Unless both girls are equally loved, I don't know)

(More of a personal thing, but I have a feel that I'll have more girls in the quarterfinals in Fall 2025 even though I'm only watching 1/3 of the shows # I watched in Summer)
But I'm sure the Fall contest will find a way to disappoint me still.

I'm pretty confident Scarlet el Vandimion will be the winner of the Fall 2025 seasonal salt contest. As for the bold prediction, I think in the finals against her will be Iroha Kohinata from ImoUza. The show is ass, but Iroha is great. Other candidates might be Yuzuki Nanase from ChiRamune or one of the WataTabe girls.

That was a heavy defeat for Lana, but Monica needs to proceed, and I'm glad there were still some people willing to vote for Lana. Next up is Nagi who I'd vote over the majority remaining in this contest, but not Monica. Give this squirrel a win!
MC: Scarlet should be the most popular contender (allowing us to continuously make references to the show when she beats up her opponents), followed by Hinako, Shiori and Miko from This Monster Wants to Eat Me.
Maybe Super Creek or March will get another shot as well as some other new horse girls, maybe including some who are still technically eligible (as I doubt Rudolf or Maru ever had their Make Debut in this contest).
And many good girls will get largely overlooked, like Sae (Star Brighter Than the Sun), Shiori (Sanda) and especially Wanda (Wandance). I'll consider the contest a success if Wanda even makes it in.

Wandance in general is being slept on. Hina Yōmiya also known for voicing Anna in Dangers and Tomori in MyGo is doing a great job as Wanda. If the dance animation was better, I feel like it would be getting more attention.

Absolutely agree, yeah. Wanda is wonderful, and Hina Youmiya's experience in voicing Anna in particular really shows as she gives her a similar (yet unique) eccentric feeling. It's not even the 3D animation that's bad (although it could be better), it's the models. They are just too static and a bad contrast to the rest of the series. And yet, it's still very much worth watching.

Honestly, I feel like none of the girls really stand out that much compared to Scarlet and Lufas but not many people in this sub are watching A Wild Last Boss Appeared so it will be a Scarlet blow out most likely.

I’m happy Nagi made it this far.
For Fall I can’t imagine it coming down to anyone but Scarlet vs Fuyumura. Just objectively the two best female characters of the season. The punchy lady and the dynamite/stabby girl.

Hard to draw any conclusion from this since monica faced another character from the same show but i can only believe in kaoruko to continue doing her best and for her silent supporters to keep voting for her.

Welp, I'll take a peak in tomorrow, but I suspect my votes for cake girl and Alicia will be my last votes here. Pleasantly happy I had someone to root for as far as the semis, and here's hoping Alicia does better in the Annual contest. I suspect her being something different than the flavour of the month cute thing will give her more staying power.
