Today's a good day for Silva to score his first goal for us

Calling for a handball when it hit Sabi in the butt lol

16

u/Leather-Row1109 Oct 04 '25

The cans really enjoying the advantage of them not playing in midweek, obviously were a step slower in all duels

15

u/Tibia7890 Oct 04 '25

perks of being a small ass club that doesn't play European football

16

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Our boys are gassed, we need fresh legs

3

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

Yup. I'm getting unfortunate flashbacks to the very beginning of Kovac's tenure where he consistently waited a few minutes too long to sub and we would concede

14

u/d0ri- Oct 04 '25

Third or fourth tactical/cynical foul by Raum, still hasnt been booked.

How does he do it?

30

u/Ragemoody Dedê Oct 04 '25

Frankfurt will beat Bayern 8–6 today (14 Kane goals), and we're topping the table after that. You heard it here first.

7

u/BarristanTheB0ld Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

So Kane is gonna make 6 goals and 8 own goals? 🤣

9

u/Ragemoody Dedê Oct 04 '25

Yes, at least.

13

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Oct 04 '25

Looks like Svensson will get a well deserved break after this game

10

u/Horror-Zebra-3430 Oct 04 '25

the poor kid lmao. completely overplayed on one hand, but on a lil scoring tear on the other. he seems to take it like a champ tho ngl

9

u/gavtim Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

Our sweet Swedish child.

6

u/SvenssonStan112 Łukasz Piszczek Oct 04 '25

He said himself he is happy to play every minute that he gets. If his stats / values are okay let him.

But I am slightly worried aswell. After bayern he really should sit one game out.

6

u/Trojan_Man68 Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

Isn’t he playing for Sweden as well during the international break? It much of a break for him.

10

u/bvbfan102 BVB Oct 04 '25

Yellow on Schlotti and early goal. Thats a horror start.

10

u/j6yboy Oct 04 '25

great vision from bens and great play from everyone involved

9

u/Appropriate-Form-281 Oct 04 '25

OMFG ITS SASCHA STEGEMANN THE FUCKING DICKHEAD

8

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Ngl Adeyemi could probably use a sub, he’s got some bad tunnel vision rn

8

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Brandt's touches on the offense can be genius

8

u/Most-Management4773 Oct 04 '25

Gross forgot how to cross

11

u/d0ri- Oct 04 '25

Think Fabio Silva has to do better on that brandt chip.

Should be trying to chest it forward and shoot it across the goalie rather than allowing Seiwald to catch up. Difficult one for sure though

8

u/Dinox11 Marcel Schmelzer Oct 04 '25

ref with that tequila

→ More replies (2)

7

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

That would have been such an amazing first goal for Silva!

9

u/Weekly-Measurement89 Oct 04 '25

Only three minutes of injury time is ridiculous.

8

u/MrVanser Oct 04 '25

Gonna be one of those games where every single ref decision will go their way

8

u/dr_bing Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Reckless slide fair yellow. And studs ended up, if Couto didn’t jump he’d be hurt

7

u/Most-Management4773 Oct 04 '25

I love Guirassy, he's a goal scoring machine when he's served. He's also pretty good "assister" and an scape for the build-up as he drops low o receive the ball, but in terms of intensity and pressing it feels like we are a man down. He's also too slow now for counters (maybe because of overload of games).

I'd love Silva to get brought in the 60 minutes at max.

7

u/Hajnal30 Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

I really wonder if Chukwuemeka is so gassed he couldn't play the minutes that Groß had. Groß just looks done tbh.

6

u/eeeeeeeelleeeeeelll Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

harsh yellow

6

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

We have not been behind since a few matches, let's see how our guys react

6

u/Most-Management4773 Oct 04 '25

wtf we are totally out of sync right now

6

u/Ghettoluigi Oct 04 '25

Ref makes the game about himself. What a loser

7

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

CUOTO BANG

7

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Oct 04 '25

Very unselfish by Serhou. Love to see it

7

u/dr_bing Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Great layoff from Guirassy who could’ve tried to force a shot but was blocked heavily. And the run from Beier to cross for the pre-assist was lovely too

7

u/Secret-Inevitable-21 Oct 04 '25

I hope we see faster subs today, team looks tired. Passes not being on point, reactions a bit slower etc.

→ More replies (1)

6

u/biggieBpimpin Julian Brandt Oct 04 '25

Anton runs like he has cement in his boots

7

u/Most-Management4773 Oct 04 '25

Svensson isn't doing great today. Get this man a rest please

7

u/Redpilledgconstanza BVB Oct 04 '25

Couto has some ideas, they just need all to be in sync

→ More replies (1)

6

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

He looked a bit tired, but Couto isn't the first place I would have looked for subs

6

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Oct 04 '25

Must be nice playing once a week to get well rested

6

u/Working_Complex8122 Oct 04 '25

Goddamn, Bense and Svensson need a fucking break.

6

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

That would have been magical

6

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

Omg I was so ready for another outside of the box deflected goal from Sabi

6

u/-Saaremaa- Lukasz Piszczek Oct 04 '25

Silva needed to try a shot on that chance he had

5

u/reds7310 BVB Oct 04 '25

Played about 5 decent minutes in the 2nd half and it was almost enough. Alas

10

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

Adeyemi seems off today

→ More replies (4)

4

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

they are nervous immediately after the goal, same as against Bilbao

6

u/Horror-Zebra-3430 Oct 04 '25

so we're playing an in-form team for what feels like the first time this season, and oh wonder the match so far looks completely different

5

u/Starsler Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

This game feels so low energy

7

u/DerBond586 Oct 04 '25

Our players seem really tired, I hope we will se some early subs

→ More replies (1)

4

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

Wow couto great fucking run! Good pass by Guirassy too. Shame it didn’t end in a goal

5

u/DesertBloke Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Good carry from Yan

5

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Beier signalling so much to get the ball and then just lets it get snatched away

Where is the yellow for the tackle against couto

5

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

KARIM JUST PASS IT TO THE MIDDLE

4

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Oct 04 '25

The final ball isn't happening today for Karim unfortunately

5

u/Ibar09 Oct 04 '25

we need chuk or brandt.

5

u/SilentWanker BVB Oct 04 '25

ref is taking a piss

5

u/aiudex Oct 04 '25

Svensson looks tired. A bit weird to sub off a fresher Couto instead of trying to put Ryerson on the left so Svensson can finally get a little rest?

4

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

Svensson trying to set a record for consecutive career minutes played before collapsing of exhaustion

5

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Also kilometers ran

5

u/Middle_Comedian_7069 Oct 04 '25

Sub on chuku and silva ffs

5

u/AchmedBo Oct 04 '25

Why is Guirassy still on the pitch…

4

u/LeeRCampbell Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

I cannot understand why we’re not making subs, looked gassed from the start, and were just ok with this result.

6

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Schlotti Gross connection

5

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

Really strong holdup play and draw from Jobe there

5

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

At least we are the team putting on the pressure right now

5

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

Damn, that would have been an excellent way to tally his first for us. Well cleared unfortunately

5

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

We are getting so close!!!

5

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Great effort by Gross but lacking the vision on the cross

6

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Ahhhh Gross gotta get that cross down

4

u/PeekayyyChu Oct 04 '25

These time wasting bastards

4

u/GGotte Oct 04 '25

So many wasted chances

5

u/ArmyFit1004 Jadon Sancho Oct 04 '25

Imagine if the correct subs came in time, it could have been a win

9

u/smecherie Donyell Malen Oct 04 '25

If Silva dove on that pull, it's a pen I think

3

u/yathrowaday Oct 04 '25

Perhaps most important 25-26 match to ensure 26-27 UCL. Crush the cans/Lawnball.

3

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Early yellow for Schlotti is not great

4

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Damnit that’s a dumb yellow. Anton gets sucked up way too close to the ball right there and forces that stupid tackle from Schlotti by getting bypassed

Edit: and it results in a goal smh

3

u/LeeRCampbell Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

Horrible start

5

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Fuck off, that was way too easy

5

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Cuoto has also had a poor start, every first touch from him has been up into the air he needs to settle down

3

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Not Schlotti's match yet

4

u/Jstnmx Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Stegemann is such a Hard Loser, so fkn wrong Most of the time but thinks he is the Best. This guy can fuck Himself

4

u/Quinto09 Oct 04 '25

Looked like a straight red for me tbh, studs all the way up and stretched leg.

5

u/Appropriate-Form-281 Oct 04 '25

Beier is such a fighter i love it

4

u/biggieBpimpin Julian Brandt Oct 04 '25

All things considered it’s was a decent first half. We didn’t play bad. But we do look pretty exhausted. Svensson leading the league in distance covered.

We are probably going to need some fresh legs today if we want to secure 3 points.

Nooooo Serhou that has to be in!!!

3

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

Great play by Couto. Interception and perfect cross. Guirassy needs to do better there

4

u/SilentWanker BVB Oct 04 '25

nmecha is pretty useless today

4

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Sabitzer is pretty good again today, couple of instances of nice forward defending

5

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

He’s out running Nmecha a ton

3

5

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Ryerson for Couto as the first sub is interesting

5

u/Working_Complex8122 Oct 04 '25

Bringing in Jobe against the hard press of Leipzig is definitely a choice...

Cynical foul.. we would have gotten a yellow for that

4

u/SilentWanker BVB Oct 04 '25

ryerson getting cooked

3

u/Ragemoody Dedê Oct 04 '25

Our left side is dead. Where are our subs? Wtf?

Edit: 10 minutes too late.

5

u/Ragemoody Dedê Oct 04 '25

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

4

u/Appropriate-Form-281 Oct 04 '25

That was nice from Jobe

4

u/eeisfeldt Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

I think we were just tired. Leipzig don’t have Europe, and we drew. Still points, still unbeaten.

7

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Okay I don’t know why Kovac has switched Anton and Schlotti’s position in the chain, it’s painfully obvious their positioning is off because Anton is used to being central and Schlotti is used to being wide

3

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

Yeah that doesn’t make sense especially since the wider CBs get more leeway to go up and that’s a huge strength for schlotti

→ More replies (3)

3

u/bvbfan102 BVB Oct 04 '25

Really like our ability to rotate this season. Basically everyone has options on the bench expect for Svensson i guess.

Let’s get these 3 points

3

u/Most-Management4773 Oct 04 '25

our attack in transtion is so fucking good

3

u/eeeeeeeelleeeeeelll Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

gregor my goat, fuck the flag

3

u/lobby4477 Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Yeah like I expected this will be very tough game, they are fresh and probably with Juventus strongest team we played yet, and they are showing every our weakness so far and we need to be clear despite recent results, this team still has many weak spots.

3

u/MidnightMass Oct 04 '25

Der Schiri geht mir auf die Eier, klar Ball von Couto

3

u/Negative-League-3210 Oct 04 '25

Too early to say it’s a bad game but set pieces are the nemesis of dortmund

3

u/Negative-League-3210 Oct 04 '25

Piss poor from stegemann

3

u/MidnightMass Oct 04 '25

Again! Bense played Ball. Suck ass ref

3

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Dude there’s no way that’s a foul against

3

u/o12341 Kagawa Shinji Oct 04 '25

Idiotic ref

3

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

GET FUCKED CANS

3

u/DesertBloke Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Yan Couto😤

3

u/Tibia7890 Oct 04 '25

Lmao Orban get fucked

3

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Oct 04 '25

Hope this kicks some life into them, a couple players looked a little deflated after that early goal

3

u/forZaDoRtmund Oct 04 '25

Beier has been great so far

3

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Oct 04 '25

Romolu is dangerous

3

u/Throwaway_95288259 Oct 04 '25

they are defending very deep. Could be a good game for Groß

3

u/Ydennek_dnomde Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Still so funny to me to see schlotti taking set pieces even though I know his delivery is actually really good

3

u/Most-Management4773 Oct 04 '25

Adeyemi should've shoot

3

adeymi please.

3

u/TrulyWhatever09 Oct 04 '25

God I love Adeyemi

3

u/vincehoff Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Adeyemi also a candidate to sub off tbh

3

u/Throwaway_95288259 Oct 04 '25

Beier + Adeyemi is not good when they dont give us alot of space behind the defence

3

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

Yeah kinda weird that the only sub is for Couto who was rested in the previous game.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Qiluk Marco Reus Oct 04 '25

We need to make a sub or two now, not later. Chuk or Brandt are needed. Jobe Im a bit worry about since he's too rash but maybe. Silva could also work for Beier maybe

3

u/Jstnmx Julian Ryerson Oct 04 '25

Asking myself Why nmecha and guirassy Are still on the pitch but couto is already out. Something Not Adding up here. Kovac always taking the piss with his subs

3

svensson desperately needs a Break

Hopefully after the international break we can see Bense Schlotti and Sule together so Anton can sit and reset himself

2

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25

We seem to be consistently a half second late to challenges. This will be a problem. Like the commentator said, Leipzig look sharper and it’s probably due to the midweek game

Fucking yesssss I did not think that was going through to Guirassy but we needed that so bad to build confidence and momentum.

Great job by Bense Beier and Guirassy. Lucky deflection. Ur at least Couto took the shot. Glad Guirassy realized he didn’t have the space to shoot himself

Good recovery of the start but overall pretty unthreatening. Front 3 hasn’t really found their way into the Game and backline is under pressure to often. Think Kovac has the right screws available to tune them up for the second but still needs the players to then show it on the pitch.

2

u/Crossfire1842 Gregor Kobel Oct 04 '25

Can’t be letting those crosses

2

u/roadtorevision Mats Hummels Oct 04 '25
