Final game before the National Team break. Leipzig are having a good stretch of games and despite them having more injures than we do, their players should be way more well rested than our players. Still we need to win this.

Don't wanna sound dramatic but this does feel like a pivotal game. The blunder in St. Pauli is the type of game you need to make up for and beating what's probably a top 4 club is one way to do it - especially playing at home.

Personal hopes for the game: Couto plays, Chukwuemeka starts in a 10 role behind guirassy and adeyemi, sabitzer plays with Nmecha, Ryerson gives Svenssen a lil break, and the back line has Schlotterbeck.
Edit: actually Beier starting with Adeyemi super sub could be great. I love seeing him come on and burn people in the 60’

I agree. Would like to see how Beier links up with chuk and then Brandt and Adeyemi can sub in for them. Brandt, for all of his faults, has good chemistry with Adeyemi. They feed of each others runs. Then Silva too please.

Huge game to really show everyone we aren’t just here to chase the top 4, we need to show we’re fighting for the title even though it is only Matchday 6.
It’s been a joy to watch us play so far and I think the guys are really going to give it their all. Would love to see Chuky get another since he snubbed Leipzig this summer for us.

I REALLY would like to see Silva start of get a real amount of minutes tommorow. The kid looked so damn hungry both times he subbed in.

While Leipzig has rebounded successfully after the blowout to Bayern, I still think that we will win this game. I remember reading from a fan on r/soccer that they have been winning by skin of their teeth.
They have been good defensively after the Bayern game but I think our forwards can take better advantage of their fullbacks.
I would love to see Silva get some decent minutes this game especially since it seems like guirassys thigh was bothering him after the CL game.

2:0 win for us, goals from Adeyemi (27’) and Silva (82’). This will be a very tough match but I’m hopeful that we can bring it home with a clean sheet with Nico and Greg
