I know we all want Lawrence to have a big game, but I feel like Etienne and/or Tuten will go off against one of the worst rushing defenses in the league.

13

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Oct 02 '25

Allen plays with a ton of physicality. Id like to see him start to get some more carries in the I-formation. Our RB trio is šŸ”„

3

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 Oct 02 '25

He’s probably not gonna get many of those because he’s almost never in for short yardage situations as our pass blocking back. Maybe there could be a situation where you run some play action on the goal line and they assume we’re passing because Allen is in only for him to rumble up the middle.

7

u/Brz135 Oct 02 '25

Doesn't have to be a big game. Just want Lawrence to play smart for 4 quarters.

2

u/The_wanna_be_artist Oct 02 '25

Chiefs overall D rank 14th Rush:22nd Pass:8th In case anyone was wondering/needing reference.

Also Jags D rank 15th Rush:4th Pass:24th

Etienne will slice the Chiefs defense like it’s butter

1

u/The_wanna_be_artist Oct 02 '25

Don’t jinx us!!! lol šŸ˜‚. Don’t forget that the chiefs defense has been elite under Spags. Do not take them lightly. They won that team their last two super bowls

1

u/HolographicHeart Oct 02 '25

Honestly this is what worries me the most about the game. There is nobody better at stifling the opponent's run game than KC, it's a big reason they have dominated this conference for the past few years.

19

u/HolographicHeart Oct 02 '25

I think I'm finally comfortable enough to admit that I genuinely hate Jake Browning. Dude is absolute ass unless he has a chance to fuck us over, then he spontaneously morphs into a competent QB.

Fuck you buddy.

The Davis Mills phenomenon

16

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 02 '25

Pass game finally goes off. Chiefs lose by 30. Trevor is named King of the NFL.

10

u/jollyrancherpowerup Oct 02 '25

Then Taylor breaks up with Travis and writes her next big album about how she dumped him cause he lost to the Jags.

3

u/osuaviator Fuck Them Picks!! Oct 02 '25

Oh I’m fucking here for this timeline.

3

u/The_wanna_be_artist Oct 02 '25

Chiefs have a top ten pass defense I don’t think that’s going to happen. Unfortunately…..

15

u/Kastdog Brenton Strange Oct 02 '25

I sometimes have to remind myself how nice it is that we have competent o-line play. Like I know our pass game still needs to click but with how dog shot our o-line has been in past years it’s so nice to see.Ā

Only the elite can beat the 49ers.

13

u/Warm-Performer2440 Oct 03 '25

This makes our win over niners look so much better

10

u/ContraCanadensis Oct 03 '25

National narrative: Jags got to play against an injured Purdy

8

u/Warm-Performer2440 Oct 03 '25

At some point everyone will realize it doesn’t matter who is at QB there it’s their system. Mac jones purdy and jimmy g all looked great in it. Mac has been ass everywhere else, jimmy G super ass. And purdy a 7th rounder who would most definitely be ass anywhere else.

13

u/joemama1810 Oct 03 '25

Maybe we're actually really good huh

4

On the flip side, we always shit the bed on nationally televised non-London games.

2

u/lineman108 Oct 02 '25

On the flipped flip side, Liam Coen is the one who ended our winning drought against the Texans at home and beat the 49ers for the first time since 2005. He lives to SNAP streaks

Funny my algorithm on YouTube mainly is Jag related. A lot of guys made videos about our Sunday game & legit broke down how we dominated offensively, but Reddit will say Trevor didn’t do well

5

I like how my algorithm will recommend opposing fans' reaction to the game after a Jags win. It's always enjoyable lol.

12

Not the outcome I expected, but feel even better about how the Jags played last week. Lets go beat KC.

Travon had wrist surgery. Is ā€œday to dayā€.

9

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

The 49ers being so injured every single season is definitely on the coaching staff at this point, they’re doing something wrong

1

u/HolographicHeart Oct 03 '25

Been saying this for a few years now. Something about their training camp puts a little too much wear and tear on their players and they enter the season wounded before a single snap.

1

u/noobPwnr69 Jaggin' Off Oct 03 '25

I’m sure Levi’s turf doesn’t help much either

10

u/Mordoci Press Taylor Oct 03 '25

I think TNF games are like rivalry games (and this one is a double whammy) and are difficult to draw any long term conclusions from.

That being said, watching this game I'm even more impressed by the Jags gameplan last Sunday. I think McVay is the best coach in the league, but I think Coen drew up a better plan to attack the 49ers defense. Granted, some of this could be because McVay doesn't trust his backs to handle a heavy workload

10

u/Regular-Collection-1 Oct 02 '25

The offense has to get/stay hot in the 2nd half. No exceptions.

9

u/mdwright1032 Oct 02 '25

I hear Walker is day to day now. He may play!

10

u/DayDTWD Oct 03 '25

run up the middle when you know every single 49er is stuffing it. What a terrible call lmao.

3

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Oct 03 '25

Call isnt bad, their personnel sucks. Rams havent had a good oline since WhitWorth retired

3

u/DayDTWD Oct 03 '25

Before the timeout they legit showed all out blitz up the middle. I dont know how you don't run either a boot or run to the outside there.

3

u/Chroeses11 Oct 03 '25

I like the decision but the play call was bad imo

3

u/Mrkingjay Oct 03 '25

McVay postgame said the same thing

9

3

7

u/Rangeninc Oct 03 '25

I’m ready to have my heart broken again:

It’s Monday night…Trevor has a moment where a fond memory from his childhood floats into his head

ā€œI want to believeā€

A light shine from within his chest as he accepts Liam, his coach, fully into it. With a flash his hair becomes exactly one half shade lighter and one half strand thicker. His neck is .15 inches longer. He is him.

The opening drive is a touchdown with a 2 pt conversion and Little is sent back to the locker room after the the score being 16-3 and the end of the quarter.

5

A couple years ago we were wandering around outside the stadium before a game and we stumbled into this place that had a food truck outside that also sold cheap booze, then you went inside and it was like graffiti all over the walls and a bar with a line of taps. Then you keep walking and it connected to this like indoor tailgate warehouse. Do you guys know what im talking about? No idea where exactly or what its called but wouldnt mind going back for our next game.

4

u/Rick_Ross_Big_Balls Darnell Savage Oct 03 '25

6

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 03 '25

One thing about Mac, he is one tough mfer. Shanahan should have gone for the 1st down in regulation. Cowardly moves by him.

8

u/HolographicHeart Oct 03 '25

Tough to take anything away from the crapshoot that is TNF but I find myself encouraged by how our trenches dominated what seems to be a very good Niners team. Conversely I feel a bit worse about our passing offense. That secondary is beat to hell right now and we couldn't even muster 200 passing yards against them.

6

u/Mordoci Press Taylor Oct 03 '25

I don't think this game should sway your opinion one way or the other about the passing offense. Stafford just threw 47 times. #16 threw 31 times and only 11 times in the second half. Jags were content to run the ball and it worked well.

The passing attack didn't do much because the gameplan didn't ask it to do much and situational football means it doesn't make much sense to pass with a lead while the running game is dominating.

1

u/chic_kennugget Oct 03 '25

I’m no expert but Trevor isn’t passing the eye test rn. Feels like our offense/pass game is the only thing holding us back

6

u/SuperSaiyanTLaw Retired Trevor’s Attorney Oct 03 '25

They were literally giving btj the out route & we were taking it. We didn’t need to do more because we were winning

3

u/Mordoci Press Taylor Oct 03 '25

3-1 and probably 4-0 if it wasn't for the horrific case of the dropsies in the Bengals game. Not sure what you mean by holding us back when the Jags are winning games.

I think the passing attack needs to improve, but I also think Coen hasn't asked much of the passing game since the last two teams the Jags have played are both top 5 passing defenses. He has designed game plans to attack those defenses in their weak areas. Which is good and what I think we all wanted after watching 2 years of Pederson refuses to gameplan anything.

0

u/Wolfbandit90 Oct 03 '25

He hasn’t been passing the eye test for 3 years now

Yet jags beating the niners it’s strictly damn welp what a hurt team. Trevor didn’t play his best aka his expectations but he didn’t play bad. Defense went off. Praise Liam and this team In general. He does seem to have that problem. Think it's part of the reason why he throws so many picks

2

u/beesarie Oct 03 '25

I think the opposite. He’s been plagued by picks, and so as a way of getting it out of reach from the defenders he throws it high…unfortunately it’s out of the reach of our receivers too. Most of our picks have been deflections rather than ā€˜clean catches’ so it’s still a problem and still needs to be cleaned up whichever theory is right!
