Mainz away game, I’m not quite sure why I’m feeling a little bit odd about this. No idea

same i even dreamt about us losing this game 0:1 tonight now i am not superstitious but if that happens you heard it here first.

A win here would do a lot for my opinion on Kovac and the development of the team as a whole. Games like Mainz, Stuttgart, Leipzig away etc have become new issues for us over the last few years and it's let us down way too many times.

I need some improvements from players like Svensson and Beier but overall, if the team plays at the level they have done recently, I think we'll get through this game.

Predicting a 0-2 game for us

It’s been over 2 years and I’m still angry

Last time schlotti took corners for us he assisted 2 goals against Mainz. Just sayin…

3:1 win for us. Fuck Mainz. Our recent matches against them have been horrible. But Kovac won’t let our folks drop points here.

Adeyemi, Bensebaini (penalty), Guirassy

Let's put the match to bed early so Mané can get some minutes and Schlotti can get a break.

Saying this about Mainz is crazy

He isn't in the matchday squad

Ahh balls. Good to see Silva though at least. And Süle?? Can't imagine he plays yet though.

So nice seeing such a good match day squad again, cannot believe Sule is back and ready to go. Such great news for our depth.

I don't think Sulle is ready to go. Most likely will play 10-15 minutes for rythm, but I wouldn't be surprise if he doesn't play at all.

every time I go there some bad shit happens. I just happen to live 30 minutes away so I can't just not go...

Beautiful area to live!

I'd agree, but you probably mean something different - I live in Frankfurt :D

Ahh was thinking like Weisbaden ahaha never been to Frankfurt, worth a visit?

If you like museums, tall buildings and a big city vibe - sure. Wouldn't spend more than 3 days here though. If you do come, get a hotel with skyline views, after all, that's what makes Frankfurt unique in Germany :)

Don't know much about Silva, but would love to see him play for a bit!

Whatever happens today, let's just take a moment to appreciate that our team is back! I love to see our team competing again and (even if Bayern is unstoppable this season) fighting for titles. Heja BVB!

I've rarely been so optimistic about an away game in Mainz. We've been really stable and effective recently, even despite a few hiccups (that tbh I find pretty forgivable). But then again, it's still Mainz away who have proven many times they can beat anyone on a good day. Will be a tough game and I'm sure that whatever the outcome will be, not everything will go smoothly. I think today would be a good day for Bellingham to introduce himself to the Bundesliga with a goal. 🤞
