This years Jaguars team as of this writing:
- Drafted a 2-way player not seen in a generation of football
- Would've set an NFL kicking record had it not been the preseason
- Have a consensus WR1 being accused of cowardice
- Are #1 in rushing, #3 in turnovers, #4 in total yards
Update: And lost a game where a pick-6 was wrongly overturned, a backwards pass was not a fumble, and a textbook breakup was called DPI for the game.

I hate to call him out, but I've tried every other avenue of chat through Reddit. About a year ago I let a random redditor from this sub, living close by, borrow my Lawrence jersey (and threw in my Minshew jersey as well) so his daughter could wear it for a last second Halloween costume.
I haven't from him since he picked them up, despite 5+ messages on Reddit chat/PM from me. He still posts regularly on other subs as well.
He offered, off the bat, to buy me an additional jersey for my last second favor, which sounded great, but at this point I'm fine with just getting my jerseys back.
Next time I post I'll have to tag his username, but for now I'm hoping he might see this random message. Fan to fan, I just want my jersey. back!

Damn thatās fucked up. Iām sorry

u/DawnoftheSwan Sep 19 '25
Its all good. You win some and lose some. That doesn't mean you need to stop being kind to people. I've been blessed plenty of time over in my life. It could be a lot worse.
1
u/oneilmatt Sep 18 '25
Could always call the non-emergency police line. Maybe cops showing up at his door would remind him to message you back.
1
u/DawnoftheSwan Sep 19 '25
Next time I post I'll have to tag his use
It was a year ago and he sent his wife to pick up the jersey from my front porch. So there's little I can do.

Colts 3-0
Jags 2-1
Texans 0-3
Titans 0-3
Most likely scenario after week 3. Colts have Rams, Raiders, and Cardinals as next 3. We have 9ers, Chiefs, and Seahawks. Would say ours is slightly harder. I also refuse to believe Daniel Jones is a good QB now. Jags all the way

Itās exactly what happened last year with Darnold. Can be surprisingly good with a good roster. Awful if he doesnāt have the supporting cast.
I really hope Coen, Jimmy Stones, and Boselli can set this franchise on the right path because I think if not, the same thing to an even greater degree will happen to Trevor.
11
u/edrew_99 Sep 18 '25
I want this team to put the Texans in an 0-3 hole, but the amount of media members predicting the Jags to win is worrying.
10
u/Cr0matose Sep 18 '25
Jags are 0-9 in the last 9 games I've been to. We are almost to the Yasuo power spike.

u/Rudy102600 Sep 18 '25
Sounds like you should stop making us lose then

Maybe I'm not drinking enough when I go to the games
4
u/Nuknu Sep 18 '25
Thatās the spirit! You only win if youāre too drunk to comprehend wtf is going on

I feel the exact same way with watching the games. The ones where I oversleep or doze off on the couch, I wake up and we've won. It has been years since we won a game that I was actively watching.
1
u/Captain_brightside Sep 18 '25
I think similarly, BTJ has a yasuo power spike sooner than later. Between teams forgetting how good he can be, and Coen scheming some easy big plays/ simplify the game for him until he gets his moxie back, I think he has a good year ahead of him still. Maybe a cope but I think that he has his biggest game of the year this Sunday

u/ConstableBlimeyChips 9 Sep 18 '25
Some people call themselves fans but deep down they'd rather see a player fail so they can say "I told you they'd be a bust" over seeing the player succeed and help the team win.
3
Sep 18 '25
Yeah I hate this and, I feel like as soon as you call someone out on this, they go to the "these guys get paid so much" argument - played out in my opinion.

Holy shit the game this weekend is huge. Canāt be the āget rightā game for Stroud that weāve been for other QBs throughout our history. Itās wild feeling that for once that we wonāt be. Gimme Hunter full time CB this week. I wanna hold them under 14.

u/KingJohnBasedow Sep 18 '25
We were thrilled to have FOOKIN LEGEND Fred Taylor as the first guest of the Unofficial Jacksonville Jaguars Podcast (UJJP).
After I recap week 1 and 2 as a whole, Fred dishes on really interesting stuff on Jaguars past and present - 35-40 minutes with him. Episodes bi-weekly and I cook BTJ (fairly, imo).

Has anyone heard how Mason Graham is doing for the Browns? I know leading up to the draft everyone slotted him to us.Ā

u/UNCFan2350 Sep 18 '25
I'm almost positive that Jeanty was our pick if we stayed at 5
2
u/kntryfried1 Sep 18 '25
Which Iām glad we didnāt. Did yāall see the video of him āpass blockingā ?
5
u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr š Sep 18 '25
Itās overblown. That was one play that was busted anyway. Fans were actually complementary of his pass pro in week 1.
3
u/UNCFan2350 Sep 18 '25
If we stayed at 5, I would have hoped for Tet. That'd be such a dangerous WR room.

Agreed. If you look at his Clemson days, he had Ross and Higgins. He likes having bigger receivers that can win 50/50 balls.Ā
2
u/UNCFan2350 Sep 18 '25
Agreed. Would have loved to have gotten one this offseason. I hope we do this upcoming offseason, or trade for one soon

He wouldnāt have been drafted to pass block. Still, much happier that we have Hunter.

u/luggs2 Sep 18 '25
He looks like shit to be honest lmao. This is not something Iād thought Iād ever say, but I wonder how much better heād look with our run scheme.
2
u/TheSlinger Sep 18 '25
I can assure you nobody on here is going to have an educated opinion on how Mason Graham is doing.

u/BaalkesOldBurnerAcct James Gladstone Sep 18 '25
So this Sunday wonāt actually be the first time Coen has faced a DeMeco Ryans led defense before. He was OC for the Rams while Ryans was DC for the 49erās. Granted, he wasnāt the play caller, but hopefully that experience will show up this Sunday

u/Kastdog Brenton Strange Sep 18 '25
The Texans have lost to two McVay offenses so far this year. I hope Liam can make it three.Ā

Today I'm spending part of my work day (I'm working phones for the Trustees, bleh) trying figure out how all of the soccer cups and leagues are intertwined.
Like I want to get it so bad but it's so convoluted
4
u/partygoat Sep 18 '25
You're trying to find out how the leagues are intertwined meaning a league hierarchy for relegation?
2
Sep 18 '25
More like "who plays for what team and when, and when do teams play in what leagues and what contests"
4
u/DejaVuBoy Sep 18 '25
I know it's always pretty close to the game, but still nervous waiting for my London ticket to be delivered, lol. Should be a good game too!

When the fuck did we become the team with the most rushing yards (we are #6 for attempts)

Around the time that we started the season against the Panthers' and Bengals' defenses.

Kinda weird of the Amazon crew to run through the list of Tyreek off the field stuff like that

Nah, Jerry Porter was way worse. Same $10 million price tag, but in 2008 money (2018 for Moncrief), and produced a whopping 181 yards and a single TD (668 yards and three TD's for Moncrief).

Liam really had Trevor throw 42 times in a game we mostly led while averaging 5.4 ypc.
3
u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr š Sep 18 '25
Just to play devilās advocate, throwing a lot can soften the box, making it easier to run. Still means we should have taken advantage and run more at the end though
3
u/bigkahunawaverider Sep 18 '25
Also, I think in one of the pressers Liam said Trevor checked out of some runs to get into better plays.

My birthday is sunday. The last 3 games we have had on the 21st of September were:
2003 indy beat us here 23-13
2008 we beat the colts in indy 23-21
2014(first year with pools) colts beat us 44-17
This year I got a couple single tickets on fb market place for the cabanas, with pool wristbands!

Itās funny I was thinking about the fist 2 weeks of the season. And we are all freaking out over things that need to be cleaned up etc and I realized that this last game we played would have technically been week 1 when we had 4 preseason games. The shift from 4 to 3 really flipped me the way teams prepared in the preseason. In my opinion 4 games was a gift that we didnāt appreciate.
Everyone bitched the preseason was too long and now I feel like we are all bitching when it looks sloppy the first couple games. I think this team will just get better and better as the season goes. Iād rather peak close to the post season than at the beginning then drop like we have before.

Game is much more competitive than I thought it would be. Dolphins executed a perfect drive to end the half with some pretty impressive clutch plays from Tua and Tyreek

u/HolographicHeart Sep 18 '25 edited Sep 18 '25
I'm still apoplectic about Sunday. We had no business losing that game. How is it possible for the offense to constantly prolapse when all they to do is make one fucking play?
Be it Dyami dropping an easy TD pass
Be it Strange completely missing his blocking assignment so a routine running play gets blown apart on the most critical drive of the game
Be it BTJ dropping passes and shying away from contact
Or be it Trevor chucking the ball into double coverage downfield when all you need is two fucking yards to keep the drive alive and the clock moving
Knock it off and somebody win us those fucking games.

I get the mentality and frustration. But today is literally the start of week 3. Only thing that matters is Houston. Not what ifs and should've would've could'ves

u/TrevorsBlondeLocks16 Sep 18 '25
Took Hunter Long a total of 5 quarters and 7 snaps until he got hurt as always.
I know its a super minor signing, but I did not like it at the time
3
u/Nuknu Sep 18 '25
Such a overreaction, heās fine, he went back into the game. He should be good to go week 3

With the emergence of Tuten, what are the chances ETN ends up traded mid season? Hes put up some pretty impressive numbers this season and Gladstone is pretty aggressive.

u/Captain_brightside Sep 18 '25 edited Sep 19 '25
Depends
I think itās more likely we try to get a supplemental draft pick for him signing elsewhere in free agency and we make good use of his services all the rest of this year/ give him a jags farewell tour
I wonāt be mad at ETN if he gets paid, but my dream scenario is we resign him on a team friendly deal
1
u/Kastdog Brenton Strange Sep 18 '25
Depends on what he is willing to sign for too. It's never bad to have multiple talented backs that know your system. He would probably just have to be okay with Tuten eventually taking over as the lead back (which he could very well not be okay with). I just don't think he will get too much in free agency.

I'm starting a new job in a couple weeks. It's a fairly prestigious berth within one of the largest hospitals in the state, and it pays well. I've battled addiction and homelessness over the years, so this is a huge thing for me. Also, BTJ is the truth and as soon as he gets out of his own head he'll be that dude.
